I mean normally by this time in your career, you are what you are. You can point to very few who have ever made the leap this late. John Elway being the first one I remember, but he had success early on by getting to a Super Bowl so not really the same.

The other one that is the comparison that fits is Stafford. A playoff loser. Never won a division. Never won a single playoff game. Choked big time in the 2014 Dallas playoff game. He gets a change of scenery in LA with QB whisperer McVay, surrounded by a front office who loaded up and went all in (not like our fake all in). And won a ring. But he didn't really elevate his play in LA. He was just surrounded by a ton of overall talent and they could mask his weaknesses way better and McVay designed the best offense for him. He tried his hardest to blow the NFC Champ game but SF blew it and dropped an easy pick towards the end.

Dak's skill won't increase but the situation around him could get better. But it won't here, not with this bozo front office. He would need a whole new team at the end of his career.

I really wish dak would of just played his contract out with the state of this franchise......Nothing better than seeing Jones and co panic with no plan...

It takes a strong regular season. That's not Dak's problem. His problem is come playoff time, he chokes yearly.
The standards of MVP honorees are narrowed to a select few players ( usually 3 or less) with incredible seasons. I'm mentioning this cuz it's misguided to dilute such privileged honor ONLY because Dak was a runner-up.

I love it when people bring that up and don't give details. 2nd in mvp, yet he yielded ZERO number 1 votes. Not a single one. Another player that came in lower than Dak had more #1 MVP votes than Dak. Not a single person that votes voted that Dak deserved MVP. Not one. So keep crying out "2nd in MVP!" because it's funny and misleading.

Which does NOTHING to counterargue against his Playoff choking, which I stated was his actual problem.

Yeah I’ll give Dak credit to actually getting to 7 playoff games at 30…Romo retired with 6 games..I can’t call it
Give credit where it is due......but the 8th won't be this year.

Our GM better quit claiming poverty and get a real roster here

I was referring to my reply after that. But what I stated in your quote just now? True. He didn't receive one number one vote. Not one. So saying he came in 2nd in MVP? So what? One dude that came in worse got more number one votes than Dak. So I find "He came in 2nd in MVP" quite laughable given the votes, especially when he's CHOKED three years in a row. Yes, the rest of the team choked too, but it doesn't excuse his own choking. MVP is nice and all, but he didn't even win it and didn't even get a single number one vote, so yeah, it's misleading to just say he came in 2nd. Mind you, I'm not really disparaging his regular season play.

He's always been a good regular season QB. He struggles against playoff-caliber teams in the regular season, but most QB's do. His problem however is the big moments eat him alive due to nerves. Football isn't about being regular season champs. It's about who's the best AFTER the playoffs.

Does Dak Prescott think he’s playing his best football?

Dak: “I’m playing solid football. I think if you broke down all four games, there’s a play or two, a couple of plays within that I want back. … I can tell you my best is damn sure, I’m on the brink of it. I feel like I’m stepping into that. … It’s damn sure coming.”

great.

now lets talk about getting the team going.

Ugh, don't remind me.
I'm still not sure who he meant to throw that to.
Bease turned for it, but the ball would have been no where close to making it to him.
I think it was supposed to be a run play anyway...*sigh*
It was meant for Beasley, screen pass. Dez was setting up for the block. As usual Dak is staring down is read so the DB is just watching his eyes and is able to beat Dez off the snap easily because of it..

Nothing has changed

Imagine if Aubrey wasn’t money from 65 yards out and they kept kicking missed FGs, giving the opposition that field position…

Stafford has all the tools though. Rocket arm and can throw at every level. He was a number 1 pick for a reason, Dak was not.

And Detroit FO was garbage, especially with the OL.
