Prescott weapons vs the rest of the NFC East

As good as Zeke and the O-line are, relying on them and them alone will ultimately get you nowhere when facing a good defense like Philly or Minnesota. You need a varied attack to keep good defenses off balance and move the ball.

If Zeke goes down, this team wins 5 games. As it is now, it's maybe a 8 or9 win team

I do agree with you, we obviously need help from the passing game. I know we lost some some fire power but to be fair both Dez and Witten were clearly on the decline and their numbers were way down. I think we can easily surpass those numbers with the players we have.

Hurns and Gallup are both full of potential and Tavon and Thompson can both take the top off of the defense. Beasley will likely rebound and Dak will have protection.

To me this season will be more about how good Dak is or isnt. I think he will do well.

did we give Prescott enough weapons? We are set at RB but looking at the WR's and TE's on paper we went from middle of the pack to the bottom of the deck in the NFL. With Terrance Williams coming off injury and most likely suspended for driving drunk and fleeing the scene. We really need to get a veteran TE who actually showed something in the NFL. Right now we are putting a big burden on often injured guys and a low round rookie. When you have lesser talented players u need to have a good scheme. Not sure we have a guy on the offensive coaching staff that can scheme up a good offense for us to run. We might be a very very run heavy team. Don't let teams get up on us or we might not have the firepower to catch up.

Its not always about THIS year. The team is progressing and being rebuilt. Cant do it all in one year. This has been one amazing offseason so far. If Williams is cut it will be that much better. Young guys have to mature, step up, and gain experience in the system and with their QB.

This offense will be better than last years. It is going to look different, and this line is going to be laying people out downfield

Dak is better early on in his career then Romo was. Nobody can deny that.

But Romo is a more talented passer then Dak. Romo was a playmaker at his position and Dak is a Alex Smith bus driver type with some upside.

Is better with his legs than 90% of the NFL. Duel threat QB's are very hard to find.

Yawn. Pretty sure the same thing was said about last year.

How many "Dual threat" QBs have won the Super Bowl?

I strongly believe that the only reason "dual threat" QBs run so much is because they don't have what it takes to sit in the pocket and beat you with their arm (and brain) alone.

Ah, no, they run because they can. And I would say that Dak is not your typical dual threat QB. He can wing it.

Give me a break with this other guy. You take away the strength of any team and they are going to struggle. You take away the OLine alone and any offense will take a step back. You take away their pro bowl RB on top of it and it gets even worse.

Its not like we have great receivers and a great coaching staff. Without the Oline, what are we? Must another bad team.

It has been proven that it is harder to defend a pocket passer than a running quarterback.

Also , Dak is your typical "running QB" we basically catered our offense this year to make him run more...

As I said, there is no reason a QB should be running the ball. You risk injury and the reward isn't worth it. Much rather have a guy back there that can sit in the pocket , read the field , and pass the ball.

The minute Prescott breaks his hand on a 5 yard run we will all see why running QBs don't last.

Prescott is great in the pocket. Most of his runs are designed plays. He is most effective on 3rd and short and goal line stuff. Hence is big rushing TD numbers. He is definitely NOT your typical running QB. Cats like Vick and other are typical. those guys were mud in the pocket. Dak is your TRUE dual threat as in he is very effective at both. Its what makes the kid so special.

The wheels would have to come off with injuries for that to happen, it is a better team than that.
Or the schedule would have to be stacked and loaded with playoff teams it just happens to be. If Dak isn't what we thought things could go downhill quickly.

The reason Running QBs don't last is injury.

Guys like Brady get the "untouchable" treatment because they never run .

When Dak preforms one of those RPOs and gets smacked while he hands Zeke the ball (fakes a run and hands off to Zeke) the ref will not give him a flag..

Brady will get a flag if a lineman breathes on him..

Do you understand what you're exposing your "franchise QB for the next ten years" to? He won't last..

It's just common sense..

As I said, Brady has never been a runner and he wins.. a QBs job is to pass the ball..

This could be a 4 to 5 win season.
Hope you're wrong, my friend.
We'll, inevitably, find out soon enough.

I look forward to unpredictability, a defense on the rise and ZEKEZEKEZEKE til you're blue in the face. Along with some of that unpredictability...

Yah...........Im not in on that theory. I believe you use your guys to their strengths and then you move on. Like I would run Zeke into the ground every year.

And like I said, Dak is more of a pocket QB that can also be effective with his legs when he needs to be. Run when the play breaks down if you can. I have no issues with that.

Fair enough. But what about P.Manning , Drew Brees , Troy Aikman? How did they win Superbowls if they're statues?
manning and Brees are just amazing QB's. Aikman would never have won anything without all those HOFers around him.

If Connor Williams puts in the work like I think he will. Our run game is going to be beastly. Our receivers are going to be good. I don't know why all the question. You get Allen Hurns and then ask a question ; who are we going to throw to? How can that be? I used to live in central Florida so I follow the jags a little. Allen Hurns was a top 100 player two years ago. He is only 26 this guy can play. Terrance Williams has never been a stud but he makes timely plays and should be very motivated with all the competition. Cole Beasley is another guy that when people say who are you going to throw to? I say what do you mean? I'm pretty sure the coaches aren't going to let last year happen to Beasley this season. Gallup is a rookie but he will make a contribution this year I'd bet 600 yards or more for the season and 7 plus TDs. I really hope jarwin and gathers can get into the lineup with their speed. If they do this offense will be great
