Presto512 in the house

Gentlemen, anybody can write out a long word, the true art, is surreptitiously sliding it into a post (with meticulous attention to correct contextualization), as if You'd use it in everyday conversation.
Which is what started this, but NOOOO! Lundy makes a big deal out it!

The set up that wrecked the biggest TV show of that time, The $64,000 Question, was the 64K question to spell that word and he was given the answer prior to being asked. It's what "Quiz Show" was based on.
Oh, that's interesting. I never saw the movie... I don't think I'd ever seen the show either.

As for your attempt in the earlier post...not so much.

It was the first big game show and contestants would double their winnings or lose it all by advancing and answering the questions up to the grand prize at that time, 64K. And at that time 64K was a lot of money.

It was the first actual situation of a network trying to manipulate the ratings and it worked, everyone was watching the show. But then they got nailed for the set up. Pretty big scandal back then and served as the story line for the film that won quite a few awards. Redford directed it.

I already said it was interesting. Back off!!!

I'm guessing shows are pretty careful about stuff like that now, though I swear, some of the Jeopardy contestants must have some idea of what subjects to study!
