Purdy is not a mobile Qb. He fits the shanny mold of a classic pocket passer. No parallel to be drawn here. Both games were ugly defensive battles featuring the leagues better defenses. Niners actually missed a 43 yarder to win at the end after losing deebo and cm to injury.
didn't Trent Williams also get dinged up?

He might be overthinking schemes at times. I mean, the creativity is effective a lot of the time but sometimes there's nothing wrong with playing basic nickel.

DQ is either really good or pretty bad, not much in between there. I realize that the players need to execute better but some of his scheme(calls) is puzzling at times. I don’t want to see him as the next HC if Mike were to be let go.
Aside from his Legion of Boom, I don't see the appeal.

After watching Purdy, Hurts struggle today, Both opposing teams blitzed a ton, kept the qb in the pocket and made them make plays with their arms. So why can't we do the same against these mobile qb offenses. The rams made Joshua dobbs look bad as well who lit us up. I like Quinn, but I feel he's stubborn at times......

I watched last week against the 49ers Micah parsons doubled or chipped on every play... It didn't matter where he lined up it was happening. If teams are going to take Micah out of the game, you need to be able to adjust to that. Maybe send a 5th guy, create a matchup for someone else. The few times we did blitz it felt like we got home. The defense can't be "hope Micah gets pressure". Teams are going to continue to do everything they can to take him out of games until Quinn does something about it.
I'm beginning to not be as "High" on him as I and some others were/are. He consistently fails to produce a defense to stop higher powered offenses while teams like the Browns and whoever the heck else beat the Cardinals do. If it was once or twice I could understand but it seems to happen fairly often.

I’m guessing not having Deebo and Mccafrey on the pitch might make it a tad easier for the D to contain them rather than the coaches of the Browns being geniuses

Quin lost 28 to 3 lead in the biggest game of his life. Hard to trust him entirely.

The Browns ran the ball and stopped the run.

It's not about blitzing, it all about the run game with regards to the Niners.
Also, don’t let the 9ers play with a lead. Make them play from behind.

I think the problem has existed ever since Diggs went down. Quinn is trying to cover for his loss and give the CBs some back end protection. But I'm with you. There are times when I'd bring the house and hope they get there before someone is exposed. I also think we should sometimes bring in another DE and let Parsons spy the QB and shoot gaps when he sees them because he closes so quickly.

....after watching Clev get Purdy's number. Im convinced, DQ had no idea planning for Niners. (40-10 )

He went with basics, hoped for the best. CLE put out the blueprint for everyone.

Sometimes you need, someone else to bring the hammer first. Then, that sheds light on the darker things.
Well maybe it’s just me but if San Francisco lost CMC/Debo and Williams hurt his foot during the game maybe San Francisco does not score 42 points.
