Uh-Oh Nors looks like Chang is pulling away from Drew in this competition just as you predicted.
Well actually they are heading in opposite directions today.:laugh2:

I agree. He's starting to play much less robotically...he's looking more like the guy I saw in college...

His poise is great also. Never seems flustered.

To me he has always been a guy with great talent but was in a deep hole. Now I can see him getting out of the hole and getting on more of a level ground. Where he goes from here, I don't know, but its getting more interesting.

This is why this should have been done last year!

They are idiots for waiting this long.:bang2:

I've been rooting for him since the michigan days.

I felt he looked better in his first preseason with the Cowboys than he has any time since...and he's looked way too deliberate since then.

This was a very encouraging performance. He's doing and saying all the right things. Kinda difficult not to root for a guy like him.

Let's hope he keeps it going.

But what if your wide receiver takes a long catch-and-run to the opponent's 27-yard line with 10 seconds left? Should he have run out of bounds at the 32, to make sure the offense doesn't go too far to attempt a four-point field goal? Or should the quarterback run out of bounds at the 32 on the next play? Or do they just take two shots at the end zone, since they're TOO CLOSE TO THE END ZONE to tie the game?

Any rule that goes against the whole point of the game is stupid, if you ask me. If the NFL ever adopts such an asinine rule, I'll lead the campaign against it.

...teams will develop situational plays and hold situational players just for that play to either tie or win the game.

You'll see nonsense like this. Team has driven down to the 17 yard line and fails three times to get into the endzone. They need four points to tie, so they set up someone 20 plus yards back and throws a backward pass which is downed beyond the 50.

A strong legged kickoff specialist with poor accuracy trots out onto the field to take a 50 plus yard kick.

Parcells begins to practice this play in training camp because you never know when it will lead to a tie and a chance at the win.

Better late than never?

I haven't like they way they've handled him since day one.

...the Thanksgiving debacle...changing his throwing motion...moving him down in the depth chart and making him inactive....I don't care what anyone says, seems like there was an agenda.

Changing his throwing motion is the thing that bothers me the most. They should have left it alone. Not every QB has a perfect or the same motion. Bernie Kosar faired OK and Drew's was a lot better than his was.

It's a little like hitting a golf ball. You have to find what is comfortable to you and what works.

The thing that always jumped out at me from his Michigan days was his ability to get alot of velocity on passes from less than ideal positions. The TD he threw today showed me that again. I can't wait till the next game.

He looked good today. BUT he has to keep it up for the rest of the season if he expects to get in position to chalenge Romo.

i sense that a backup QB controversy is coming on, Henson vs Romo.
You could be right but even if Parcells continues to remain "in love" with Romo as his backup, this is a great way to showcase Henson's skills to the rest of the league. There's no doubt that as long as he remains consistent after today's game, it should generate enough interest from other NFL teams that need another quarterback and could possibly land us a high draft pick.

In any case, either option would still be a lot better than Dallas being forced to release him and getting nothing out of the deal.

I was going to give Henson an "A" for today's performance but I went ahead and knocked it down to an "A-" after that last miserable pass he attempted that should have been intercepted. It just goes to show you that Henson isn't there yet but as long as he continues to show improvement like he did today compared to last week's performance, that he's definitely on the right path and looks to only get better.

Yep, I hope he continues to improve to the point that he cannot be ignored even once back for camp. I like the guy and hope he is our future QB but only time will tell.

There is nothing about golf that is remotely like anything about football. You have got to be kidding. There is a proper way to throw a football, and a proper way to throw a baseball.

That is not what Romo says.

Is that a joke or dig at someone? I hope so, since personally no need to take a dig at Romo.

As much as I want Henson to succeed, mainly because of all the physical skills he has, I would like Romo to do well too. But this year, so that he doesn't get us anything if he goes off in FA next year.

He eqautes his golf game and how well it translates to the football field. And you are so wrong on there being only one correct way to throw a baseball or a football that I thought I would clue you in. The other guy was right about the whole golf swing thing and if you are comfortable and get results. But a one track minded guy like yourself could never grasp that concept.

Okay, I went over the line with that last post. I just can't stand people who scream and cry that they can't tolerate intolerance. I was in the wrong. However, I really don't care for Romo at all. Reminds me of the suck-up at work (there is always one). And I certainly am not into political correctness, wrong is wrong. If people don't like being told they are in the wrong, don't do it. If you insist on doing it, then be ready to accept the consequences.

Hold on, so, uh, who's doing the tolerating here? People are supposed to tolerate your intolerance--but doing the opposite would be intolerant, right? So..................

I already told you I am intolerant. That is why I can't tolerate people who preach tolerance but are themselves intolerant. What they are doing is called being a hypocrite. :lmao:
