I'd really like to see Boise or TCU in the championship game vs. a BCS Conference team, just so we can finally see what happens.

If they win, great, they deserve it after all these years and the hype. If they get crushed, well, at least we know now.

Sooners will have some choke game that nobody expects this season.

I would like to see what happens if Oregon, Boise State and TCU wind up being undefeated with the other big teams with one loss.

I love anything that further puts the BCS in a position that highlights how much of a money making fraud that College Football has become.

Anything that could help it get to a playoff system is good to me.

We would just like it if West Vergini would show up more than once a decade.

:D

When they do though....whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa NELLY!

Seriously. We can't do anything about the system atm except stop watching college ball and send a message. ;)

Last week Utah dropped 68 on Iowa St. and moved down a spot. Oklahoma uses a beat down of Iowa St. to jump a bunch a teams to claim #1.

Oklahoma beats Utah St. by seven, a crappy WAC team that Boise beats on every year, but that's ok!

The Sooners beat Air Force by three, a MWC team that TCU thumps every year, but that is ok!

They beat Cincinnati by two, who lost to Fresno St. an average WAC team by 14 and that's ok!

I don't know, they may be a good team, but why does one quality win, with a bunch of "eh" games get them the number one spot?

OU is nothing but a pretender.

I have no issue with OU being ranked 1 in the BCS they would be as deserving as any undefeated team at this stage. Having said that many are never going to be happy with a system that ranks teams to determine a champion only thing that can change that is a playoff system. Until then this is what we have and OU currently is the #1 team.

So you think they deserve to be higher than Boise State and TCU? These guys were bottom barrel compared to TCU and Boise State recently and all the sudden they shoot over the top? I don't think so.

It's a sham plain and simple.

It's not really going to matter because OU probably won't see any of them in the title game anyways.

Look at OU's schedule.

I think they have gone on the road once since opening day and another was on a neutral field.

I think they can easily go undefeated.

This is why I hate the BCS and think we need a playoff.

OU would have @ minimum 2 losses with Bamas schedule. But you can only play whats on your schedule so it is what it is.

2 me the best 2 College teams are Bama and Boise State.

I think they are as deserving no more and no less. You will not have a perfect system until a playoff is put into place. Everyone can argue for their teams and I think all can make a legit argument be it Boise, TCU or OU as well as some other current undefeated teams. This will continue to be a sore subject because you have opinions and computers dictating who will play for the title. Funny thing is even in Div. II A they have a playoff system but for the big college programs we don't. Tell me how the hell can they justify that?

OU has wins over Texas(#19) and Florida ST(#17).

Boise St. has a win over Viginia Tech(#25).

TCU has no wins over teams currently ranked in the Top 25.

Oregon has a win over Stanford(#12).

How many people don't think the system is broken? Not many. Not anybody I know. Still if you go with what is in front of you, I don't think any team should be a clear #1. They all have some flaws. Still plenty of games to get sorted through. By the time the regular season is over OU could have a loss or they could be undefeated and have another of their opponents in the top 25. Who knows? Too early to make that big a fuss.

I don't see anyone arguing that Oklahoma St. and Missouri should be #1. They are both undefeated and have played no one of consequence yet. Will they vault up if they beat OU this Saturday? Doubtful and I have no problems with that.

TCU beat Oregon St who WAS ranked. Texas isn't ranked anymore.

TCU will play Utah who is ranked #9 right now. If TCU beats them, then they have beat TWO ranked teams.

TCU has been ranked in the top 5 for two years and they just get skipped over by teams that weren't ranked anywhere close to them? It's a sham dude and a lot of people know it. I even just posted an article where the Washington Post even says as much.

Forget all that though.

Is OU the best team in college football? Thats what needs to be asked.

Right now all they are doing is beating a system and it has them @ #1.

OU can only play their games and win so give them credit. They are getting the job done.. But really... Come on... They aren't the #1 team in the country.

What polls are you looking at? Texas is ranked #19 right now in the BCS rankings. Oregon State is not ranked right now.

In the next several weeks the ranking of both those teams will change. If Oregon St beats Oregon in the Civil War that helps Boise St and TCU twofold.

I have said it over and over. It matters less what a team was ranked at the time they played than where they are ranked at the end of the regular season. OU faces #11 Missouri this weekend. What if Mizzou drops 3 in a row? They won't be ranked after that, so what does it really matter if they were #11 at one time.

Like I said, no one says it isn't a sham.

Perhaps you should pay attention to what is going on with the MWC. Utah is moving to the Pac 10 and TCU is looking for a potential invite from the Big East. If OU played in the MWC next year Boise State and Nevada would be the only good teams left.
