Yeah, it is, particularly how he went about it given the rules and laws of the land today. But we can't fully explore that argument here.
Second, just because he's getting into the cannabis industry doesn't mean he's going to reap the financial windfall. He more than likely won't make as much money as he would have in the NFL, and when the market becomes saturated if and when marijuana is legalized federally, there are many people smarter than he has shown himself to be will capitalize.
It's the lottery winner principle.
Third, the NFL is likely not going to change its policy until the federal government changes its policy. That aint happening any time soon.
So, you said it is a sin but we can't explore that anymore? You're still wrong.
I didn't say he's guaranteed to reap the benefits of it. I said I think he will do well. But to make a counterpoint to yours, when the market becomes saturated, he will have been one of the early investors. That usually spells big bucks because it's the small businesses who get "weeded" out, eventually. See Wal-Mart for ironclad proof.
Your third point is just silly. The NFL and the federal government have nothing to do with each other whatsoever. Are they also to replace the officials with cops and start charging players with assault when they get hit? They should just stay out of the players pee streams and let the law handle illegal drug situations.
