A look back at the quarterbacks given the final okay for roster pickup by the Mad Genius during the past 24 seasons. Are there any missing players?

Tony Banks was a UFA pick up for a very brief time. Jerry even floated the idea of him being the immediate starter.
True but the Mad Genius, who supposedly picked Banks up to mentor Quincy Carter (what he publicly hyped repeatedly), brilliantly cut Banks before the season. All these guys made the cut. Heck. Some of them started games for Dallas, lol.

Definitely trust these guys to find the next QB.

Yikes.
The Cowboys have been blessed at QB throughout the teams history. The two QBs we won championships with were great but they also had great running games, including a couple of hall of fame backs and great defenses that showed up big in postseason. Their teams also had hall of fame head coaches.

What you say is true but I do not believe @KingintheNorth's observation factored in Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Tony Dorsett, Emmitt Smith, a pair of Doomsday defenses, Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson giving Jerry Jones input on acquiring quarterbacks from 2000 to present.

Lotta trash on that list. The sad thing is I could of told him that before Jerry signed them.
