QB garbage time passing yardage 2025

I was joking. It was meant to be more ironic but obviously it didn’t land right…my bad. I’m a boomer myself and that is the go to comment I get from my kids. Boomer has become code for not being all knowing like much of the younger generation.

As far as official parameters, there are none as far as I know. That’s why I felt the tweet was clickbait.

And believe me, it had nothing to do with Dak. I avoid those conversations like the plague.
Gotcha, thanks for clearing it up. I took it as aggressive. I apologize for being aggressive too, my bad. Nothing but respect for you brother! I agree with you tho, it does seem like clickbait without parameters.

This is the argument and both are true

Dak was borderline awful last season. I'm not putting it all on him but it was total disarray. The numbers he put up in garbage time (and stat padding in general) made a few games look respectable when they were in fact, really bad outings. Going off what I recollect I'm gonna say he maybe had two games where he gave even bus driver performance.

Why don't yall bother to look up years past.

It won't end well if your intent is to disparage Dak.

While you're at it look at garbage time receiving stats.

All you're going to find is a list of the top qbs and receivers.

Dak has his faults, but this is stupid.
I would have to disagree simply because this isnt exactly a list of the top QBs in the league. Are Goff/Love/Nix/Williams/Mayfield the top QBs in football right now? I will say that % of yards in garbage time is probably the better indicator and also would better reflect for guys who have missed time, but going by that guys like Burrow, Purday wouldnt even be on the list. Allen might still make it but wont be top 10.

I only glanced at a couple of past years.

I saw a lot of top names up there at both wr and qb.

I'd share the screenshots but I had to disable features because of a glitch awhile back.

Josh Allen was 7th. Saquon and Henry are at the top for rbs. It's just not a good way to verify anything except what team get blown out or have blow outs.

If the QB keeps his team on the field, that doesn't happen. It changes everything.
no it doesn't.....that's arse backwards...

it just prolongs the time it takes between scores for the other team.... giving up 6 TDs in a row...is giving up 6 TDs in a row...

now, you could argue that the QB threw interceptions, gave them a short field, etc. but against the saints, their drives were
80 (opening kickoff)
70 after kick off
70 after kick off
70 after kick off
43 yards after interception on their 33 yard line
70 after kick off

so yes, one was after an interception. but by then we were already given up 28 points, 4 straight scores....and notice, most of their scores were long drives after we kicked off, which means we scored.

and oh, btw, the TOP in first half.....dallas had it for almost 18 minutes, so you can't even use the excuse to say defense got tired!!!

the defense sucked. no ifs, buts or thens.

Again...garbage time stats never applied only to Dak. Applies to other athletes and sports.

However...I'd lay down a modest bet that Dak seems to have a penchant putting up stats on lesser teams, as well as when the game is out of reach either way.

It might indicate he performs well under no pressure, and not as well under pressure.

Notice my language. Just a hunch...maybe a deep careful dive on the stats to suss it out?

Perfectly said.
