lol, you’re probably right. I hope for the best for Lance as long as he doesn’t play against us. I like Lance, it’s not his fault the 49ers and Cowboys overpaid for him. I hope he gets what he can while he can. But back to your point the thrill of the unknown and untapped potential is making Lance money. If he did play instead of Rush and sucked then I doubt he’s signed for up to 6 million.

Lance will last 2 seasons on the Chargers bench. Then get cut for a 3rd time by his 3rd team. He will likely end up in the Canadian Football League.

It's an unusual move unless the QB also contributes on special teams. Most teams wanted to take advantage of the third-QB rule to keep from having two roster spots tied up by players who aren't going to be on the field for very many plays.

Now, I was all for making Rush the emergency QB for games Dak started so that we could use Lance as a short-yardage QB. Maybe the Chargers will do something like that with him and keep Heinecke as the guy who would replace Herbert if he missed games.
