Question for the pro-Dak fans on here?

My issue is the Dak haters choose to put all their focus on the QB when this team, this franchise has much bigger issues than Dak. Did Dak have a bad game, of course, is Dak an elite QB, hell no. Would replacing him with Mahomes, Burrows, Lamar, etc. made a difference on Sunday, absolutely not!! The scheme is trash, no run game whatsoever, head coach is a joke, defense doesn't exist. Anytime we play a team that matches or has better talent than us, we get blown out the water. The games we do win, it's because our roster/talent is better. That's a coach/scheme/culture issue, not a QB issue.

So why the hell are we talking about the QB and ignoring the main problem. Our loser GM/President/Owner/Idiot/Clown decided to not do anything this offseason and then wait till the very last minute to make Dak the highest paid player in the league. Why? Why!? He could have just not signed him and let him walk, he could have signed him earlier and opened up cap space at least to sign FAs. He literally did the stupidest thing you could do and when asked honest questions about it this week, Jerruh loses his mind, and threatens jobs where he isn't even the one cutting the payroll check but here we are talking Dak. C'mon people.
There is no bigger issue on this team than our QB. You literally say it yourself. Dak isn't Elite. No team is winning without an Elite QB. End of story. Signing a non-elite QB to the most expensive deal in history is the single worst decision Jerry has made since firing Jimmy.

Now we all know that the GM is responsible for that decision. Jerry isn't going away. His son isn't going away. But the fate of every franchise begins and ends with their QB, and frankly, our guy can't cut it.

I dont necessarily subscribe to the Dak is worth 60 million crowd but the premise of your statement is wrong. Not all of it I agree with the Jones part of it but there are certainly examples of QBs who weren't elite getting it done.
Brad Johnson
Nick Foles
Trent Dilfer
doug williams
Joe Flacco

if you are looking past the GM as the biggest issue on the Team and pointing to the QB you dont understand football.

I am not making any excuses for him. I also don't expect him to score 7 TD's on 7 consecutive drives.

If Troy was dominate with 1 TD and .8 int's per game, then Dak is doing extremely well.
Troy played in an era where defense could actually play football. Don't compare a HOF QB with Dak. I like Dak and there's moments where he looks great and then there's moments where he leaves me pissed.

Which of those were the highest paid QB in league history? I'll wait.

GM is responsible for this signing. I said that. But Dak is our QB, and the QB is the single most important position on the team...even more so when he is paid 60m. And since he is a proved loser in the post season, what chance we do have at a Superbowl with him as our QB. None.

If you are waiting for the GM to get fired, you gonna be in for a long and bumpy road. Because the next two generation of Jones are right there waiting for the old man to kick the bucket. And that outlook isn't looking any better.

Compare Troy's numbers to his era. They are not good.

What you are forgetting is that the only thing that is dumb is that this team was built to play with the lead...if you haven't noticed, we are only effective on D when we can get to the QB, and you can get to the QB a heck of a lot easier when you are up on teams and force them to pass. What is supposed to happen when you are losing? Watch a game, and you will see teams that are up on us run wild, and because our owner is too dumb to fix this major issue
I am not forgetting. Jerry is late following trends in the league. He is not innovative. If the entire league is a passing league, then the smart thing is to be a running team.

We became a passing team and a defense to stop the pass, so who is surprised we can't run or stop the run.

The fastest way to gain ground is by doing the opposite of the rest of the league. It is simple supply and demand.

If every defense is shifting to a 3-4 then go to a 4-3. If every team wants a 6'2 WR, then you can get a talented 5'10 WR in round 5.

This is what I admired about BB. He did not pay RB's and WR big money contracts. He was not afraid to draft and or pick up tweeners at a low cost that no body wanted. Undersized receivers that were more quick than fast, undersized RB's that were more WR than RB, big WR's that were too slow and too small to be a traditional TE, but too big for a CB and too fast for a LB to cover.

BB had a balanced team and his game plan changed dramatically from week to week depending on the team he played and a QB that was smart enough to execute it.

BB employed TB, and once TB left to TB, BB was toast. Do we really know who the brains was of that team? Their QB? Their HC?

ahhh, Eli Manning? Nick Foles? Peyton Manning 2.0 (Denver)? Joe Flacco?

and since you ranted about no one winning without an Elite QB, then how many Elite QBs are there in the league?

I will get you started....Patrick Mahomes.
so then 31 other teams are totallys screwed because no one is winning without an Elite QB.

and how do you suppose to get one of them elite QBs?

Thank you for your response as I suspected you know little about the TEAM game or your stubborn and can’t stand the qb.

It doesn’t matter how much $$ anyone makes if the team isn’t built for success across the board there will be no success

I don’t care who touches the ball the most. If the line don’t block, the run game don’t work, the run defense don’t show up etc there will be no ultimate success for that matter any defense

You cannot succeed against good teams without it

Jerry is the biggest issue period. That don’t mean players get a pass but Jerry is the biggest hindrance to the players success

Do people understand how the salary cap works?

When was Dak the highest paid in any given year cap wise?
