He wasn't as good without Beliceck. Let's face it we put a lot of effort into defense and he was a defensive minded coach and our defense let us down. Zimmer basically said in a post exit interview that it was his defense in name only. I watched the super bowl he won and even in his hay day the Giants weren't like the Jimmy Johnson Cowboys. Anyone who thinks you need more time is still living in the pre free agency era. The Saints were worse off than we were and look what they did.

Not really. They were 8-8 before disaster. Then they went home, signed Payton and Brees, drafted Bush and Colston, got McAlister back..........

Their big turnaround wasn't so big when you look at exactly what happened the last 3 years and the way their personel fell into place.

"LIKE 10" meant that I didn't wanna go through the mental anguish of having to think of guys like Henson and Hutchinson (whom your genius *** left out) all over again. Here's some advice: the next time you're trying to take a not-so-literal point and make it literal, do some research and make sure you have all your bases covered, or else you're gonna get called out and made to look like a fool in an argument where you are clearly out of your league. You should get banned for a couple days for trying to attack of my points, yet messing up on your counterpoints yourself. All this proves is that you were eager to reply without thought, since that's probably what you've done for your previous 400 or so posts.

Regardless, all this has proven is that yet another Parcells-hater has the IQ of a billygoat. The more you guys talk, the more it becomes obvious you have no idea what you're talking about, so of course you wanted Parcells gone. I'm sure the sky is green in your little world too. We can't have an entirely perfect and logical fanbase, but there certainly are people on here who understand the implications of losing such a good coach. Those people are called "sane". Parcells retired so I have to give Jones some credit, he didn't try and force him out. The funny thing is those that find Jones a football genius fail to remember that he made an extension offer to Bill. I'm not a Jones fan but I was glad he hired Bill. Four seasons to put this team back on top simply wasn't enough in my opinion. I would say that's why Jones saw fit to offer Bill a few more seasons. Any way we are at where we are.
Hopefully Jones learned and past mistakes like Ryan leaf QCarter, Hutch, Henson, Hambrick and the like are no longer on his radar.
People want to point to Vinny and Bledsoe, both of them were stop gap until parcells developed (the proper way) a QB of his own, Romo.
Even as stop gaps those choices were way better than what Jones assembled since Troy.
I guess we have to ride this out as fans and hope for the best. If it works Parcells will get no credit for it by most people on this forum. If it goes South he will catch all the blame. In the end he pointed us in the right direction and Maybe, just maybe made Jones a better GM than ever before.
