there were times during the season where i wished he was still here...atleast he know how to use his feet....

He did? That was one of many complains I had about him. I wish he would have run more because that mean he wasn't throwing the ball.

He was a real peice of work.

The guy had a chance to start a playoff game for the Jets two years later, then disappeared half way through the week before the game. No one knows exactly why, but there was some excuse about his Mom. I think they found him somewhere in St. Louis or something.

.................Every time I see this picture it reminds me of........THIS was the day we finally moved on and tried to get better. Like cutting ties with a crazy girlfriend, or a no good brotherinlaw thats always trying to borrow money from you...LOL I remember the day it happened, I came home and looked at the zone, read the story, saw the picture, I litterally, NO LIE,....jumped right from my seat and started fistpumping while letting out a big YEEE HAWWWW. I knew right then we could get on with the business of getting BETTER.

Quincy Carter was AWFUL. Every other pass was like the opening of Duck Season. This guy sucked so bad we were looking at Chutch and Henson and all sorts of other spares. Just another Jerry Jones draft disaster.

It was his mentality, not the weed. People win multitudes of Olympic Gold Medals, smoking weed. They lead the league in rushing. They are considered some of the best WRs to ever play the game. And on and on. Weed does not make or break the man, his mental capacity is what does it.

I'm tired of this 60+ year old Oil Company Propaganda line. Weed is harmless compared to alcohol or half the prescription pills people pop in their mouths, daily. Give it up, the world has given up on the notion of a cheaper fuel source from cannabis, no need to keep beating the horse dead. Move on and destroy other forms of alternative energy possibilities, let people have there harmless fun.

I said drugs, as in plural. Not weed, as in singular.

^^^As much as I disliked that guy, I liked him better than I have Brad Johnson. I do have to admit, The Major from the "Church of Vinny" website was amusing to argue with. A total idiot when it came to actual football knowledge, but his delusions were hilarious.

Yeah, I typically don't like alot of the bits The Ticket do but the "Fake Vinny" was hilarious.

I wish I could find the audio.

I don't understand why anyone thinks if he had stayed off dope that he'd have ever been anything good. He was barely average, at his best times, when he was here. He'd have just been here longer, wasted our time longer, and likely we'd have lost Romo to someone else while we were still jacking around with that hack trying to turn him into something.

Thank goodness that bum didn't get any longer to try and work out here.

Edit - I liked Vinny a whole heck of a lot more than I liked Carter, that's for sure.

Wonderful. Be prepared for my thread about the unfortunate career of Reggie Collier next.

The only thing more tiresome than these types of threads are the posts that complain about these types of threads.

C'mon, ever body, chill.

And, as always, Zoners here are under no pressure to read any of these "irrelevent" posts or threads.

Post on! It's the offseason.

I meant the "Church of Vinny" guys on this website. People who came here from a website dedicated to Testaverde and absolutely just gushed over the guy. I am being dead serious on this. If you go to that site you will find guys and girls discussing his looks and what it would be like to be with him. They were some serious freaks man. One of them who came here was The Major. I had more fun arguing with him than anyone on this site ever. He was a total dipstick.

Yeah, that was 2004, I think I was still posting on another board at the time.

I don't think Vinny Testeverde was all that bad. You didn't want a guy like that to start the entire season.

Also, I believe it has been noted that Tony Romo learned quite a bit from him about how to be as Tom Landry would say "A Pro".

Vinny also helped DeAngelo Williams by sitting down and talking to him after the 2007 season. After that talk he changed his whole routine and dedicated his offseason to nothing but football.

I wish Tony would do that.

Yeah! What about Reggie? And another thing, did Clint Longley ever get a fair shot after he sneak attacked Roger in the club house?

It's a new day. Change is here and I want to know what's up with this stuff just in case I have to add their names to the Bailout Package.

So I watched an old game from 2003. Monday Night game vs NYG in NY. Wild finish as Dallas gets a miracle 35-32 win.

Now the thing is that Quincy played a pretty good game other than a pick 6. I got to thinking about Quincy's short career, and it strikes me as a tragedy. They guy wasn't the greatest QB, but he wasn't the worst either. Of the multitude of spare QBs that have come through here between Aikman & Romo, Quincy was the best of the rest.

He even managed a 10-6 playoff appearance under Parcells.

I saw a few Qcar games live at Texas Stadium back then.

Then it all came crashing down for the guy. I never got the full story on the dope situation. All I can remember is that it was weed or maybe coke. I also believe Quincy did not get the same chance to atone for his transgression the way other players have been when they have done equal or worse.

I can't help but feel sorry for the guy. From starter for Dallas to never seen in the NFL again. Did he ever even get a look from another team in a training camp?

Thank God the clown was dumb as a brick, else we'd have cut Romo and have been stuck with this turd. Awful player, incredible stupid and no heart for the position either.
