Wright ? .....Shefield ? ... Alexander ? .. Could we put Bland on outside with others in considerations at the slot ?

KJ played the slot before AB went out didn't he? Or at least at one point I seem to remember him doing so.

I hope we can move Bland out and put KJ back in the slot.

He played well most of the game. It’s not like we haven’t seen Brown and Diggs both beaten on double moves. I think Quinn is looking for a scapegoat when he needs to look in the mirror.
Yeah, honestly on the double move Lawrence was under pressure and Joseph saw that and was probably the main reason he bit so hard on the double move. He did not figure Lawrence would have the time or ability to get that pass off.

Competition is good, KJ had the first shot and he didn't take the job. Now I expect Wright to get his chance. NW played well to finish up the game vs JAX, he looks to be the best tackler/hitter at CB, and made a crucial stop on the screen play.

The group of pickups, Alexander, Sheffield n Mullen can wait because they've all had their shots before.

Involving salvaging some type value out of KJ, he's a really good gunner and that's an important job. I see KJ as more of a slot CB by his build, speed and willingness to tackle. If they keep him next offseason AL should try and develop him there.

KJ gotta put the work in.

live at the Star.

quit running the streets and study the game.

Has the physical skills.

needs the mental skills.

he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

can’t trust him to even play off man cover on the outside.

makes stupid penalties on STs.

I am more so talking about CBs Wilson, Hooker, and Kearse are at safety so not relevant unless one of them magically learns CB. Bland has shown flashes but isn't there yet because he's a rookie. So now we are left with Diggs who is fantastic and all the other CBs I actually like Brown more than most, but now without him who do we have to fill that 2/3rd CB slot who are reliable?

Also, I don't have to prove my point because it was proven over the last number of games without Anthony Brown.
IF i was you, I would watch they do going forward and see what Quinn does. He certainly hit gold in the secondary with Kearse. He has 3 veteran pickups to pick from that we haven't seen yet and Wright. Quinn certainly has the credentials to get somebody on the field to patch that hole and at least improve what we saw. In my opinion Bland has been playing well.

We’ve seen countless teams lose corners and find more. It’s a position that can easily be replaced and we need to figure out over the next three weeks who can do that.

- We may have to resort to that - Bland on the outside, with Joseph at slot.
Wright would be the backup outside, as he is too tall and leggy for any slot role.

- My concern is Bland seems like he plays much better when he's going forward than when he has to turn and run in reverse.
He's playing so well at nickel slot

KJ needs to be special teams only at this point that kid obviously has other things on his mind other than football. He was a straight liability against Zay Jones son of Robert Jones an ex Cowboy. I honestly think it's a bit of gamesmanship going on right now because they are clearly are sending the message by throwing these guys into the fire who should be ready by now ie Joseph, Wright, and others. Mullen is learning the defense as fast as he can but rest assured with him being a former 2nd round pick if he plays well they're most assuredly going to give him a deal and send some of these JAGS walking. I hate to say that but it seems like they're waiting until the playoffs now to break out the new bodies in the secondary. We will see if Trayvon plays Saturday if not we then know they're holding him for the playoff run. Especially with us not being able to catch the Eagles now even with a win on Saturday.

I think he was targeted 3 times, and gave up 2 TDs.
They were in a 2-deep Safety look on the long TD. That usually means zone coverage but the Safety on that side didn't stay back.

The TD in the endzone was definitely bad technique. The CB must maintain outside leverage in that situation. He had help inside but none outside. Joseph let the WR bait him into losing outside leverage. It was a lack of situational understanding by Joseph.

If a CB is only targeted 3 times in 37 snaps played then he must have had decent coverage on most pass plays.

Wright played the 4th quarter with mixed results.

Well, I'm sure you'll study the All 22 at some point, and let us know if he had good coverage most of the time, or if he had good help...or if Lawrence just didn't look that way much

i dunno if it was Jax WR Zac Jones or Christian Kirk, but on a TD play,.. it look like Wright did not know who to cover ..and he was just frozen in space.

Bland has looked very good. Especially playing in the slot where it’s tougher to cover.

only play I remember him giving up I hunk was that long throw to Kirk on the pick route
