Quinnen Williams Appreciation Thread

I think Clark would be amenable to redoing his deal because it would give him guarantees
yeah, you don't trade for guys and then try to squeeze them on their contracts. 2026 is mostly guaranteed a couple of days into the league year.

We literally just traded for him a few months ago. You don't cut bait on that after a year.

I’m so glad they used the Parsons trade to go out and get Quinnen. It redeemed it for me.

He’s the best DT we have had in decades and it showed on the field immediately.
I’m not going to lie, at first I was upset they traded for him. But seeing him in action made me rethink things. He’s better than what we would have drafted. He made Odiggy, Eze, Clark and Houston all better. I mean even Murray had a good game. What could we have gotten in the 2nd round in 2027and 1st round in 2028 that would have made such a stark difference. Honestly I can live without a Tyler Booker, Mazi, Schoon, KJ, etc with what he brought to the table. Yes I know it was one game and it was the Raiders but this is the first game our defense looked like a defense. It looked like people knew where to be and what to do. We’ll see if this continues. I think it will, but so far I’m pretty happy with the results. We haven’t seen a defense like that since 21,22, and 23.

He kicked tail. Let's see how he does against the Eagirls.

The sad thing is, we had to trade away our best player to get the sort of player everyone has known for years that we needed…
I’m not sure if we are better with Williams instead of Parsons, but I know we’d be better with both.

They can’t run. Did you see that stat where the average yards before contact was under two yards? NFL worst.

But yeah, this was Jeantys worst game. He had another six carry game this year but got 17 yards
Yeah but it’s the worse rush defense in the league. You can’t throw it every play and expect good results.

I think several here just looked at his stats after we traded for him and thought we gave up too much. He is a game wrecker that will allow others to be successful as teams are going to have to give him all the attention

I believe it was reported that he fell out with Aaron Glenn mainly after the later decided to move on from a Hall of Fame quarterback so his stats from this season were not overly relevant given he was likely looking forward to a new start elsewhere.

I'm not for those cuts. If we can trade them, I'm OK with that, but I don't want to weaken our depth by cutting what we have. If we successfully replace them, then sure, cut them. But until then, keep them unless we get a trade offer.

Restructuring is the way to open up space.

Steele is awful. He is a liability and we are better off without him.

You gotta think if teams get cute about running the ball you can put in Osa/Clark/Quinnen all 3 at the same time at any point. That group with Clowney could give teams nightmares.
