Surely, we won't keep 4 QB's on the roster ...

Hensons suporters over estimated his chances to be NFL ready last year. This year its almost denial. Romo is taking the job from him. Good news is we are going to hava nice prospect backup QB.

To spread the money out and backload the contract. Also, time to develop. Henson wont be around for the final years of that contract (if he makes it that far, who knows?) if he hasn't shown something.

I don't have anything against him personally, but if we have fans/coaches who keep holding onto this pipe dream that Henson is somehow our future QB (or even future backup, for that matter) it will only hold our team back as we wait, year after year, for him to be ready when we can do in FA or the draft next year to solve it now.

If this because somebody said that then speculate what if........the point of all this is what?

I don't care if the QB of the future is Romo or Henson. At this point I would just like to see each get some extended playing time so we all can see if either has a future in this league. Once proven they do or do not then we have something to talk about.

The team quite obviously sees something in our players or there would be roster moves.

Evidently, your patience is infinite. The hallmark of a great educator, as I'm sure LTN will attest to. As for myself, I have far less optimism regarding the prospects of redeeming the incorrigible. Even a waste of pixels, trivial though it might be, seems a shame to me. Suppose that makes it a good thing that our education system is populated by people like you and LTN, rather than jaded sorts like me.

Barring injury, we will have the same 3 QBs on our roster at the end of the season that we have on our roster now.

No, in my mind IF Henson is really playing as badly as the reports are saying and IF BP really wants to cut a QB, in my mind its got to be Henson. I have no problem keeping him if we are going to keep everyone, but if we are signing someone else and someone is to be cut, Romo is playing much better this year (and last year, as well) than Henson.

Or maybe Jerry doesnt want to admit how dumb of a move it was? It wouldnt be the first time he's kept a player for his own prides sake and was trying to save face.

You have your opinion, I have mine. However, when Henson is left rotting on the bench for the rest of his career, you and those of your mindet will be left thinking "damn, was I wrong".

I'll believe there's some smoke to the "bringing in another QB fire" when I actually hear Parcells bring it up as opposed to answering a question that was meant to get the response it did. In the meantime this is a non issue.
