I tend to fluctuate between patience and amusement. Right now I am amused. I doubt he picks up the gauntlet I tossed down. The bruises from the last time he tried are just starting to disappear. Still you never know, he may give it another shot.

I'll believe there's some smoke to the "bringing in another QB fire" when I actually hear Parcells bring it up as opposed to answering a question that was meant to get the response it did. In the meantime this is a non issue.

I agree, however I simply answered the question this thread was asking, which is all based on a "what if" situation. However, if "whats ifs" didnt exist, there'd be little use for MBs, now would there?

Exactly my point HH. You poured gas on a fire that isn't lit. This was one poster's continuing desire to let people know he thinks Henson is a clown. He'll look frantically for any comment so he can say it again and stir the coals. What part of that don't you get?

I did not intend to pour gas on anything, I was answering a question posed by a topic. I dont go looking to flaunt my opinion on Henson, I will give it however if the question arises.

You have your opinion, I have mine. However, when Henson is left rotting on the bench for the rest of his career, you and those of your mindet will be left thinking "damn, was I wrong".

If that should happen, I'll have no regrets. Indeed, given the opportunity, I'll continue to support every "next big thing" that comes along. Seems to me that that's just what it is to be a fan.

In contrast, if Henson should turn out to be all that I think he will be, you and others of your ilk will be in an untenable position. Not only will you have been wrong, but you'll be in the embarrassing position of ruing the success of your own team's leader. Whatever will you do? Will you continue your sleazy campaign to have a member of your team jettisoned in spite of his success? Or (more likely by far, I would venture) will you shamelessly deny having made declarations to the effect that "he was a bust the moment he was signed"? Turncoat or liar, which will you be?

Should Henson turn into the leader of this team, I will have no problem admitting I was horribly wrong. You seem to think I wish bad luck onto Henson. I dont hope he fails, I'm making an observation that he is not playing like a guy who could one day start for us. Thanks, LTN. In retrospect, I was perhaps a bit too aggressive, given the reasonableness HH is displaying in this thread. Still, I guess I'm reacting, in part, to some of his other comments, including the one I quoted and another (on the first page of this board, no less) suggesting that defense of Henson is "worse" than "mindless". Not to mention that, as Hos points out, reactions to HH are bound to suffer from the fact that he's thrown his lot in with a group of characters that generally behave like a lynch mob.

So what if it is not looking good right now. We're just barely into camp. We haven't played a single pre season game yet. All there have been are some practices and 1 scrimmage. My gosh let's castrate him while we're at it.

Just curious, are you always this premature? I pity your partner if so.

I expect young players to struggle. If they don't I actually get worried. I don't want them on cruise control. I want them busting their butts.
