I'm a staunch TO supporter. That should tell you I don't really care who does or does not agree with me. ;)

I'm just pointing out that firehawk is a troll who relishes in the Cowboy's struggles

Hurt my feelings? Cmon now man. You obviously don't realize what it takes to make that happen. Back on point, Had his post come from a position of hate I would have tagged it and called him on it. It seemed like a very level headed view to me. Are we going to debate whether or not his post was level headed now?

His post was a contrarian post taking the position that everything goes wrong for the cowboys

One guy says we have a new d coord

Skins guy says there will be growing pains

one says Romo will improve

Skins says he didnt improve as the season went on

One says TO will be back

Skins says our recievers are old as if they arent still a top duo in the NFL

One says Rivera will be replaced

Skins fan cant see it happening and says the whole line is mediocre

One says Roy will play better

Skins fan says Roy sucks

one says we will sign some free agents

Skins fan says our free agents will bust and mentions TO

one says parity makes everyone competetive

skins fans says that means we may not be competetive

One says we were a dropped snap from a win

Skins fan says no

Yeah he was just being honest not contrarian hahaha:laugh2:

Check your avatar and your sig. I would think someone that so readily displays the 5 big ones and pushes our "history of greatness" should expect nothing short of that from the coaching staff. I've been wrong before though. The contradiction just seems a bit odd to me.

There is no contradiction at all, I want the team to win superbowls, but unlike others I do not feel we are entitled to win them because we are the Cowboys

I am also not dumb enough to believe the best way at becoming a better team and winning the superbowl is by changing the entire coaching staff and system

Tom Landry won 2 superbowls in 29 years you would have fired him in the mid 60s

You win. I don't have time to debate whether or not someone was being level headed. You totally win. I raise the white flag. you owned me. ;) Now, can we get back on track?

Why is bringing Bill back such a great thing for this organization?

So, in essence, you weren't dumb enough to think bringing Parcells in was such a good thing 4 years ago. Correct?

Because I want a chance to go to or win a superbowl. I know you believe that any person who is named coach will automatically guide us to greatness but I try to remain in the real world.

If we bring in a new coach right now that means an entire new staff and new system, it can also mean new schemes, and different players to run them

If this occurs we will be a couple years away from making that superbowl push. By That time Both Glenns are gone, TO is gone, Flo is gone, Henry is gone, Newman is over 30, Ferg is gone, and Romo is about 29 or 30 already

So IMO Parcells gets one more year to make a run while we are all together, if he fails so be it bring in a new coach, but you have to try while everyone is together

Fair enough. This system has helped us comprise a whopping 34-32 record with zero playoff wins. What leads you to believe things will improve next year?

Were we a playoff team with a young defense and top offense 4 years ago? Or were we a team that had won 15 games in 3 years?

Horrible horrible example

We're never a couple of years away nowadays. The Saints are in the NFC Championship game. It can be done. Yet, after 4 years we still haven't done it or even sniffed anything close to it.

I would guarantee when we change coaches we miss the playoffs that following year unless Romo has developed into an Aikman like performer and glenn and TO are still on their game

The difference between us and the Saints is Dree Brees and mcallister and bush, with them we are in the playoffs still

I appreciate you asking a question and I take time to type a long answer and you quote a little bit of it and give me a one liner reply thanks

I thought it was great example but I only have to please myself and the mods on the board so I will be content with having used it. ;)

You fail to understand that after we go 8-8, 9-7, or 10-6 next year and get bounced again if we make the playoffs the endless cycle will have started all over again. So the team, that you're so content with in its current mediocre form, could very well find itself "starting all over again" next offseason.

the system helped us to go 34-32 from 15-33, and 0 playoff wins beside, that's still 2 trips into the postseason in 4 years, which only 4 other NFC have done, at least it's a system that can get us into a position to go into the playoffs, where anything can happen, and which has been shown that not many other teams can say that, it's not the greatest system, but it's not exactly bad, the O is already there, just a couple of tweaks on the line, the D needs a FS, another pass-rusher, and better DE play

this is a supremely talented team that's not many pieces away from making some noise, and again, they have been working on this system for 2 years now *not including '03 and '04 because we weren't a 3-4 D*

With Brees, McAllister, and Bush under our current coaching system??? We barely make the playoffs and get bounced in the 1st round. We definitely aren't sitting here today watching our team in the NFC Championship with those guys under this coaching staff. Like it or not, That's what I truly believe.

You also think a skins fan is unbiased when it comes to the cowboys :laugh2:

if we go 10-6 next year and win a playoff game is that bad?

If romo didnt drop the snap and we beat seattle and lost to chicago would you be making these threads?
