I've read this in numerous posts over the last couple of weeks from the bulk of the Roy haters. I've got a challenge for all of you that think this - PLEASE post your supposed factual reasons for why he supposedly is.

If you can't, please just shut the hell up for good about this subject.

He costed us 3 valuable draft picks.

His cap number is outrageously high for a guy as non-productive as he is.

He constantly makes snide defensive remarks and threw his QB under the bus about 'throwing the ball better to other receivers'.

He can't beat single coverage against other team's 2nd best DB.

He drops critical passes for a guy with 'super crazy glue hands lolz'.

He constantly makes excuses - playbook issues, my foot hurts, the lights, etc.

But like I've said before, he'll block the **** out of your ***.

Lets give Him to the end of the season...We should know for sure after that. Untill then what you said is pretty much Roy Williams. A Low production product with a false label that is overpriced. We got played:lmao:

Like a fiddle.

Its been 19 games as a Cowboy. We know exactly what we're going to get from him.

Instead our UDFA WR draws double coverage, runs crisp routes, and makes plays.

Oh, and he needs to stop doing that stupid first down thing. Its obnoxious and he looks like a *******.

I hope he continues to do the stupid 1st down thing for 2 reasons. 1.that means he is helping us pick 1st downs and 2 it upsets you. :lmao:

I hate that! The guy is playing well below expectations so showboating after a routine first-down reception is the LAST thing he should be doing. Just be glad you actually caught the freakin ball Roy.

And it fires the other team up. Did you see Driver emphatically do it after every first down he got.

I'm a big believer in letting your play do the talking. Also, his first downs are so few and far between that you'd think he'd be more humble.

How about when Barber does his thing or Ware and Ratliff. Please stop the non sense, you don't like RW that is fine I have no problem with that. It is the meaningless whining that is annoying. How do feel when RW gives a ball to the kids in the stands? pretty horrible I’m sure

Ummm. Barber, Ware, and Ratliff are actually productive- they have a right to get fired up. And they do it after a big play. Roy does it after a routine catch.

And you're right, I hate seeing players give TD balls to kids. As a matter of fact I hate kids, more than I hate Roy in fact.

Stop reading the thread, and stop replying to it if the meaningless whining is too overwhelming.

Eh, better question is why are you such a supporter? I don't think that there are many here that began as "Roy Haters", just a number that are "Roy Observers", my observations have been that he is putting up 4th receiver numbers and cost as much if not more than any receiver in football if you value the surrendered draft picks. I think that everybody here prays that he learns the routes and or adjustments eventually and can contribute as at least a solid #2 receiver, but so far we haven't seen that with any consistency. If he had had success with 2 of those passes last week the game might have turned out differently (same so with Austin) so his potential value is undeniable. So again what are you seeing so far?

I'll say it again - how are the items you just mentioned hurting the team? Because, last I checked, the team has lost 3 games. Did RW lose those 3 games by himself? Did he:
* throw 3 picks in the Giants game
* get beat by brandon Marshall on a 51 yard TD in Denver
* run the wrong route vs. Champ Bailey that led to a Romo INT
* give up a FG to the GMen at the gun when the Giants had a 1st and 20
* stop Romo from throwing to Austin a game high 9 times against the Packers
* tell Jason Garrett to call only 14 running plays in game in which the team was only down 3 going into the 4th quarter
* stop the development of Miles Austin into a legitmate big-play NFL WR
* stop Patrick Crayton from continuing to put up numbers
* miss the blocks that got Romo sacked 5 times by a team that had 13 sacks going into the game & were missing the starting SLB
* decide to send those picks to Detroit for himself

Dude, like you, I can go on for days writing lists. Yet, your list STILL DOESN'T really show how RW is "hurting" a team that is 6-3 and in 1st place.

Quid pro quo Clarice.

How is Roy Williams helping the team?

Agreed - it's kind of Irvin-like which given the circumstances, just seems wrong. It's also disproportionate to the achievement. Noticed he stopped doing it after his fumble, don't think that the restraint will last though.

People are frustrated with Roy, and they can't see the forest for the trees. He's a convenient whipping boy, alot of people didn't like the trade in the first place. The original Roy Williams caught the same amount of hell and irrational hate. There's no point in fighting with them about it. They'll be all over his jock when he takes over a game.

It's the concept of opportunity cost that you seem to be missing here. We had the opportunity to do a lot with those draft picks and his cap money. An expensive and unproductive asset always hurts an organization in a limited resource league. If he was making the vet average for his age and cost us a 4th rounder, than he'd just be mildly disappointing.

Its been 19 games, we're still waiting. And when he does take over a game, good - thats what you pay a guy 45 millions dollars to do.

Guys, relax... this poster is obviously Roy's mother. If he were your son you'd be making excuses for him too.
