"Roy is hurting the team right now"

Go ahead! You're not getting my last penny pal and that's that!

My wife took that from me this morning. :(

Dday, it's my fault. I laid out the "ultimatum".

That's exactly what you did. You set forth a certain criteria, and told anyone that didn't want to meet it to 'shut the hell up'.

You're the biggest Roy Williams homer in the known universe. You kinda remind me of that 'drewpie' guy who hung around here back when we had the misfortune of watching Drew Bledsoe play QB for this team.

Hmmmmmmm, I'm a"homer" because I asked people to explain how he is hurting the team? I've said in the past that I expected more form him. Period. But, just like many on this board seem to do, I'm gonna call out folks that present certain arguments without giving the facts. And, like you told Bob, if you don't like what I wrote, you can ignore it or not even read it. That's your right, as it is my right to ask the question I did.

People are frustrated with Roy, and they can't see the forest for the trees. He's a convenient whipping boy, alot of people didn't like the trade in the first place. The original Roy Williams caught the same amount of hell and irrational hate. There's no point in fighting with them about it. They'll be all over his jock when he takes over a game.

Right. Wasn't there quite a few people whining about Bradie James a few years ago. Now he's a solid player. So no whining.

We paid for Roy as if he were a top 5 receiver, big difference between bringing in an overpriced vet and hoping a 3rd round draft pick reaches his potential IMO.

I hate that! The guy is playing well below expectations so showboating after a routine first-down reception is the LAST thing he should be doing. Just be glad you actually caught the freakin ball Roy.
:bang2:

Watching these kids showboat after every routine play is aggravating. It makes me appreciate Emmitt Smith even more. On a team full of showboats he just handed the ball to the ref and went on with the next play.

I agree Thumper.

It is very annoying to see him do this.

So far, the only positive that has come from the trade is that Jerry Jones was able to justify getting rid of Terrell Owens.

I think he is making some progress but overall, his production level has not been commensurate with what the Cowboys gave up to acquire his services.

Oh, and he needs to stop doing that stupid first down thing. Its obnoxious and he looks like a *******.
When he does that first down thing I seriously throw up in my mouth.

his contract and what it cost to get him is ehh.. i mean the draft picks last year .. i think turned into delmas? and not sure who else but thats in the past i like sensi .. his contract mainly . If he could be solid which he has started to be the past few weeks i have no problem. .. in short i disagree with that statement people are making

You'd give up a 1st, 3rd, and 6th and a 45 million dollar contract for 3 touchdowns in 9 games? You'd be a hell of a GM.

I've read this in numerous posts over the last couple of weeks from the bulk of the Roy haters. I've got a challenge for all of you that think this - PLEASE post your supposed factual reasons for why he supposedly is.

If you can't, please just shut the hell up for good about this subject.

:D

His best game of the year was our worst offensive game as a team. Any more proof needed?

The Cowboys don't wear green.

When he and Romo connect it looks good...

Agreed.

He's no Michael Irvin.

By not being the whiny, I need the freakin ball all the time presence of the guy he replaced. Miles Austin would NOT be doing what he is doing if T.O. were still here. His ego would Not allow someone else to shine over him - just like he is doing now. And, if you notice after the one time he supposedly "whined", that he and Romo have looked as in sync as damn near Romo and Witten.

Sure, that's only one thing and yeah I expected more. But, unlike you and the haters, I do not see how he has all of a sudden become this huge hinderance to a 1st place team.

He has been whiny, throwing Romo under the bus, and he doesn't produce jack squat. You gotta earn respect, not have people make excuses for you when you are clearly underperforming, and have been since a harsh price was paid to bring you in.

Roy Williams won't be on the team next season if his production does not dramatically improve down the stretch of this season.

Well at least we still get to have Roy Williams-bashing threads with him around.

I can't wait till he shuts everyone the hell up, the fumble was no excuse Sunday but you tryto catch a ball with lights glaring right in your face off his visor.. He has had 2 good weeks back to back, blame him for whatever but he has shown signs that he is coming along lately! Can't wait till he makes a lot of morons on here eat crow

He costed us 3 valuable draft picks.

His cap number is outrageously high for a guy as non-productive as he is.

He constantly makes snide defensive remarks and threw his QB under the bus about 'throwing the ball better to other receivers'.

He can't beat single coverage against other team's 2nd best DB.

He drops critical passes for a guy with 'super crazy glue hands lolz'.

He constantly makes excuses - playbook issues, my foot hurts, the lights, etc.

But like I've said before, he'll block the **** out of your ***.

Sounds like Apollo Creed covered all the salient points.
