I would have Henry man up with Moss & bump & run him with S coverage over the top...Newman can single his guy...

David is also right, if we don't make changes they will kill us deep...

Our zimmy nickle D passive & predictable 4 man rush confuses no one and Collin's has the arm strength & speed at WR to kill us if we don't change things up...

yeah, but when henry misses his bump, we are screwed for a deep td, Moss and our FS who ever that will be, going for a jump ball - forget it.

Moss isn't close to the same player on grass as he is on turf.
If this team plays like it did for 3 quarters of the SD game, and for 3 1/2 quarters of the Skins game, we'll beat the Raiders handily.

I don't care about how good (or bad) the Niners were yesterday. Our star CB gave me flashbacks to last season, and we weren't sticking tackles anything like we did the first two weeks. We weren't as careful with the football. Those things will beat us against any ordinary team. I'm more concerned with those details than I am with the matchup this week.

That said, I could easily see us playing our most complete game of the year, after winning the rebound game this week.

Hoov: Good point, Henry was beaten once when he whiffed on his bump yesterday...But its still a better option then letting him free deep into his routes, at least the timing will still be off and we still have S help deep...

Moss doesn't like contact...Any...Henry will also have to tackle better then he did yesterday...I think he will..

Anthony Henry needs to bump hard and get Moss out of his rythem(he shows up big against big playersie:TO.) and have S help deep. Leave Newman manned on the other side all day. He's way more confident this year and will keep the cathes to a minimum. The key to the whole ball game will be defensive pressure. If Zimmer sits back and gives Collins time in the pocket we lose big. If he throws in a a blitz about every 3-4 plays and they get to the QB I see a couple pics and some errant throws. The LB's will have to come up big, Oaklands's TE aint no joke. He may have a big game considering Norv's past w/ TE's. It's either a cowboy win 27-24ish or a Oakland win big 42-17.

I hope they don't put TNEW on Moss because Moss is like a foot taller than him. We need Henry on him to at least check him at the LOS. TNEW plays too far off and you can't let Moss get on his route uncontested.

It's going to be a long day no matter who we put on him.

yeah, tackling was so bad, we gave them first downs on missed tackles so many times.

Iis probably easier to bump moss than cover him in space with a cushion, we just need to be ready cause with his height and lankiness he could jump past Henry with a swim move and be gone. Henry's not gonna win all those battles so someone better be there to pick up moss when he blows by henry.

I like that Henrys a physical guy and plays right on the wr, cause thats how i play db, but if you miss that first bump you better grab and hold moss or he's gone, Henry wont have the speed to catch up.

Sorry guys, I'm usually a bright eyed optimist but we just don't match up well against this team. This very well could be a blow out.

The only positive note is that the line is Raiders -3 (which is for home field), so obviously the book makers think we stay in the game.

Going to have to bring some different defesive looks for sure but I would bring heat up the middle hoping to keep Collins from stepping into those deep throws. The OLBs cover the quick slant and play contain on the ends. Lock up moss with Henry (Tn doesnt have the height) and play a mix of cover 2/3 while praying someone gets in the QBs face in about 4 seconds.

they're one of the best 0-3 teams i've seen in awhile.

with our defensive problems i'm affraid of seeing randy moss with 150+yds and 2tds by the end of the game...who knows, maybe more. If lloyd can light us up like he did, who knows what randy moss can do.

SO according to them we'll lose by 30+......Over confident little turds.

Go visit some of their forums and read some of the cocky ignorant comments they have to say.

Idiots > Raider fans

They wont win by 30 points. The game will come down to who has the ball last in a high scoring shoot out. No way our Defense can hold them to under 40 points. Mike Zimmer will make sure the Raiders get 40+. But the Raiders do not have a good pass defense.

Do not be surprised if the final score of this game is something like 52-49 or something like that.

I think if we can get at least 56 to 60 points on the board there might a chance our defense can hold out and we win the game.

My prediction...it could go either way. Oakland has played 3 very good teams so far. They are not a bad team and they hung around with all those teams.

24-21 Oakland

I like us to win in a shoot out......38-28. I am usually pretty conservative with my predictions, but have a good feeling about this game.

Lamont Jordan is not a franchise back-- repeat three thousand times. Oakland depends too much on intermediate to deep pass routes which suits their talent. One Dimensional == beaten in today's NFL.

lamont is mediocre.

our OC coached/rehabbed kerry collins

moss will beat us a few times, but we'll reciprocate.

"destroy" is laughable.

I love reading predictions- some are right but usually the reasons are way off base. Having said that here's mine. The defense played a poor game yesterday. I blame some of that on the short week and the long trip west. We just looked slow out there. Poor tackling is a sign of fatigue so I think staying out there was a brilliant idea. The MNF game, other than 2 devastating plays, was a terrific defensive performance. And after watching the Bolts drop over 40 points on a solid Giants D I think our game 1 defensive performace was pretty darn good. I expect the D to bounce back this week. Moss will get his yards but make no mistake the pressure is squarely on the 0-3 team at home to win. We should be the looser team. I like the cardiac Cowboys again this week 27-24.

I mean...are you kidding or actually being serious? 56-60 points??? maybe our defense can hold out??? the day that we score 56-60 points and hope that our defense can "hold out" is the day that we waive every defensive player on the team and bring up the practice squad.
