Why are we defending someone who's been shot twice at a nightclub?

So if you happen to get shot at a nightclub am i to then assume you're a toublemaker?

He was shot once outside of a strip club picking up a friend of a friend..

The 2nd time was when he was on the highway in a drive by..

Is he looking for a trouble or is he in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Also, you still haven't explained how his shootings negatively impacted the Cowboys.

yep that just tears it right there. Clearly he was asking for it. I mean how dare he be picking some one up and what the heck was he doing out on the highway where everyone knows you only go if you're wanting to cause trouble and get shot.

Well that's bad luck. If the two made headlines, it was bad publicity for Dallas.

I'll give Keith Davis a break and if we have a spot I would like to see him here.

By your logic the collapse of the practice dome makes everyone inside a troublemaker.

No, because the first time may have been his fault.

Wow who would have expected that? Jon88 making his claims from pure assumptions. Maybe just maybe Sean Taylor stole from those guys that tried to rob him and eventually killed him..maybe.

Every team that signs him releases him before they even get to Camp.

Except us.

Exactly, if the horrible Raiders let him go then Jerry shouldn't even look his direction.

Maybe not. You don't know that. Sean Taylor and Keith Davis could've had beef with both parties. You don't know that.

Who in all honsty hasn't pissed someone off? Pissing off a troublemaker doesn't make you a troublemaker
Yes, we all piss people off from time to time. But the key is to not do it habitually, and to not do it to random people at clubs who could be drunk/dangerous.

Pissing off your wife by forgetting to paint the garage is one thing. Pissing off a random dude at a club to the point where he's ready to take your life? That's entirely another.

I never called Keith a "trouble-maker".

But if he did incite the shootings in any way (which I suspect he did), then he is (or was) a very stupid guy. "Trouble-finder" might be a more accurate term for what Keith is.

I have a friend who has an issue with getting into fights at clubs. It has happened on several different occasions, and he SWEARS that he's simply a victim of bad luck. "The trouble is finding me, not the other way around!"

I call BS. I've been to clubs countless times and have never come close to getting into any sort of altercation. You generally have to do something to incite violence at (or after leaving) a club. Please stop being so naive.
Some people just have really crappy luck, and since we know nothing about what went on with Davis the only reasonable thing to do is assume he's one of those people
I don't think that's reasonable at all.

Smart money says people don't RANDOMLY get shot on two separate occasions.

So why is it reasonable to assume he's just super duper unlucky? If we are to make an assumption, I think it's much more reasonable to assume he's a trouble-finder and an idiot.

(Not that I'm making this assumption myself... if you'll notice, I've said nothing definitive about Davis' shootings since we don't know all the facts.)

Thank you. A refreshing change from the shooters, or people who have known shooters, and the people who have been shot multiple times.

No suspension.
No arrests.
Named as a victim.
No indication he caused it.

Rest your case man but your wrong.

Has anyone said yet why he was released before camp has even started?

Does Al Davis just play drunken blindfolded darts with a copy of his roster taped to the dartboard?

Sure seems like it.

I heard that they released this year's 6th round draft pick today - before training camp!

Never heard of waived - did not sign before...

I'm all for signing him for the vet min to play special teams.

He's a leader on our special teams. He'll always be a Cowboy as a special teamer.

Keith Davis came back to VR after being cut by Miami and was voted ST Captain by his peers. I'd say he was a well respected player and leader by peeps that know him a whole lot better than some. Doesn't seem the type of guy that's a troublemaker.
