In that loss to Mahommes, I never heard anyone anywhere provide anything but glowing remarks on Josh Allen. Granted, since that game, he seems to have stepped backwards and has had an issue with decisions and turnovers, but in that game, he was "crowned," yes, in a loss. That performance is what stirred up all the fuss about overtime rules in the playoffs because people wanted to see more in that game due to how great the two QB's played. I'm not giving him anything, just explaining why most QB rankings aren't just based on Wins and Losses. If one team wins with a moderately talented QB, that QB isn't going to suddenly be ranked at the top of the QB list.

The Lions beat the Chiefs; Goff outplayed Mahommes in that game. But no one is ranking Goff ahead of Mahommes.

I don't care what people think I get to judge myself and I don't think Josh Allen's that much better quarterback than Prescott sorry... Sure he had that one great game in the playoffs and a loss he's had many other games where he was the reason his team lost... So when I look at how Prescott's being looked at nobody goes back and judges the context from 2016 2018 2021 and 2022 playoffs and look at the fact that Prescott had no run game no support from the offensive line only one player trying to make plays and they're going to go back and blame the quarterback that is the problem it needs to be a....hat one game you remember how good he played nonsense.

This just heralds back to the fact that quarterbacks get too much blame and too much credit in wins and losses literally so many moving parts in the game of football it blaming the quarterback when you can go back and find at least five place if not ten throughout the game from other players or units or coaches that actually led to A1 score loss it's that slim margin.. Just like when you go back and look at the interceptions and then you realize was it too much pressure was it poor blocking was it a bad route did it get tipped I mean there's too much blame going on even in last year's lost to the 49ers about the two interceptions my God if anybody thinks that Prescott through a bad football to Michael Gallup and that's why it was intercepted they should have gone back and checked the fact that in Kevin Moores read and react route running offense Prescott saw and out Prescott through and out Michael Gallup did not Michael Gallup ran up field stopped and watch the defensive back cut underneath them and go for the football and he never moved he just sat there and watched the play happen didn't try to break it up made no effort happen so out much throughout the year that it's ridiculous that that's how we are judging players.. Again moving parts to every play you gotta check it all out...
 
Right now, the way he's played lately, and the fact that they don't seem to trust anyone else to run the ball, I don't think he's better than Dak either. But I do think he's more talented overall and has a bigger ceiling if he can play within himself and in the right system. That's why I believe there probably isn't a single gm or coach in the NFL that would take Dak over Josh if given a choice. The question with all of them is can they reach their ceiling and maintain it. We've seen glimpses of Josh Allen near his ceiling, but right now he is playing far below it and costing him team.

Actually, it's not Cowboys fans you know real Cowboys fans that accept their quarterback and everybody else on the team not just picking and choosing phases of the team and editing out and hating against certain players....

We're simply pointing out one fact there is no perfect quarterback out there and there's no perfect players out there and expecting your quarterback to be perfect in order to win a game in the playoffs is why we're having these discussions that's not happening we've seen some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL even recent history from the last playoff games make mistakes their team overcomes them better teams don't expect perfect from certain players they literally need to win and lose as a group and that's what's been happening and if we have to keep reminding folks that players like Joe Burrow had two interceptions last year in a playoff game and so did Trevor Lawrence head four and Josh Allen nearly had four turnovers and we watched Matthew Stafford have 20 interceptions in a year and two in the Super bowl and still win a game..

There's one fact is that their team was strong enough to overcome not having a perfect player at a certain position that's a fact and if we have to keep reminding the haters to stop expecting the quarterback to play better than the rest of the team is playing it's ridiculous he's had no offensive line a week run game in the last three playoff losses and that's a fact we could go check you can't play one-dimensional ball against a Rams and 49ers defenses that can just shut you down with four to five man fronts and dirty up the back end.. Once again a ridiculous thread by the Daksters telling everybody what to think and what to do.

I have my own opinion about Allen, Dak or anyone else. And whenever I feel like it, I share it here on the forum and elsewhere.

Since basically all arguments about Dak have been exchanged numerous times I stay away from such threads atm, since nothing has changed with the guy for a couple of years now. . But I will not accept others trying to enforce their own thinking on us here.

Once Dak leads us to an NFCCG we have something new to discuss. Until then all Dak threads should be moved to the Overtime zone, as they have become really tiresome to read for any neutral moderate fan. But if they stay here (it's a mod decision anyway) I usually ignore them.
 
Brian Daboll, coaching matters. I was encouraged by MM's debut as the play caller hopefully it will carry forward. I see that Cooks already has an MCL sprain, that's a big deal.

It's to the point where I wouldn't trade Dak straight up for Allen anymore. Not for that turnover machine. If Allen can control his love of playing hero ball, he would be a much better QB than Dak. But apparently he can't. He gets frustrated when pressured and reckless. Just take the sack dude or throw it away. I can be pretty confident that Dak isn't turning the ball over 4 times. I'd rather have that QB, even with his warts.
