Top flight secondary, dominant running game, Hall of fame offensive line, or average defensive line. I think thats what these guys can bring us. What do you want? I am not talking about the players individual talent. What do these guys bring to the individual units of the Cowboys.

Add Buckner...

Ramsey turns our secondary from trash to treasure?

I'm not buying that

Without a better pass rush I agree. I think Ramsey is going to be a good player in the NFL, but I also believe that he wouldn't have a major impact for another 1-2 years.

My argument is he gets rid of Wilcox and Church in are dime defense. Scandrick in the slot. Carr and Mo on the outside. Jones and Ramsey in the deep middle. Potentially dominant secondary. Lee and Church would be the line backers in this dime formation.

Go ahead and add him. What do you think Buckner can do for the defense? I think the pass rush with him, Crawford, Gregory, and Lawrence would be fun to watch.

Not really sure. Obviously if he pans out, he's really going to help out wherever he goes. I've just felt all along Marinelli would value his versatility to move inside and outside. He needs improvement in areas, but I think he's the choice if the team decides to go DL.

You think he is better then Bosa? I know they play a different position but Bosa is really good just not special.

Nobody we select at any position makes that type of impact, with the exception of Elliot at RB. But that shouldn't preclude you from selecting Ramsey if he's the guy you like. Cant expect this lone pick to revive any particular position on the team.

Dallas has 9 draft picks this year, will draft again next year, etc.
You can also ask which of these positions can be filled later in the draft more than others?
in other words, you may be able to more than one of the original choices.

Ramsey combined with Scandrick, Jones, Carr, ect changes the secondary.

Yeah. The reality the 2nd and 3rd round picks will probably be more important. I just like Ramsey, Zeke, Tunseil, and Bosa. I am looking at what they can do for the Cowboys.

I have no idea. Both are really good players. It's just my opinion that Marinelli's preference, which apparently caries a lot of weight in the Cowboys draft room in particular on D, would be Buckner.

Reading all of your responses makes me realize the Cowboys have lots of holes. That is why I look at the different units possible improvements with this player we draft.

We could have a backfield of Ronnie Lott, Charles Woodson, Lester Hayes and Deon Sanders .. And it won't make a bit of a difference with our pass rush. Fix it inside out.
