What's the big deal about Randle starting? All it means is that Michael is going to be taking more carries from DMC...

Why does it have to be a Michael versus Randle situation?

Why has Michael suddenly turned into some mythical beast?

He was unceremoniously dumped for an undrafted backup behind Lynch on a team that has/had visions of a super bowl run.

I hope he is everything this board wants him to be....but the anointing oil is a bit premature.

Besides Randle may be a knucklehead (so is C mike) but he has run hard and well this year in an offense that has not been kind to the running game due to player personnel.

Those are my thoughts. I hope that any of our RBs - be in Michael, Randle, McFadden, or a combination of the three - will be effective to the point of driving this offense. It doesn't matter to me who has the ball. That being said, I don't get where people get the idea that Michael will be such a stud. He's a 2nd-rounder that Seattle gave up on in favor of an undrafted rookie and a 34-tear old.

I can understand why folks had high hopes for Randle. He showed quite a bit last season, though it was in a different role than he was asked to fill this year. I still have high hopes for him, but if Michael has "it", then I'd be all for Randle returning to his role from last year. Michael has done nothing, however, to give my any reason to believe that will happen.

That's dactyl what I'm reading. Everything I've seen says Michael will be getting more carries. Nothing more nor less.

My thoughts as well.

In many cities the backup quarterback is the most beloved and hyped player in town. In Dallas right now it's the backup running back.

Actually Randle has not "run well". That is the main reason why Randle is in the dog house. He has baggage, but his baggage is not tolerable because it is not outweighed by his performance on the field. Hardy appears to be a pain in the *** and potential trouble, but right now his performance is outweighing any current baggage that he carries with him.

Can you point to 10 runs where Randle should have done better based on the blocking for those plays?

I think people hold out hope for the Martellus effect where a player's true value only reveals once they leave their first team leaving the original with most of their emotional baggage and what ifs.

Trust is always a prime necessity in any human relationship, whether it's a spouse, a friend or a team member. Once that required emotion is damaged, what follows is oftentimes beyond repair. It would surely behoove Joe Randle to come to terms with that knowledge before it's too late. One only gets so many chances to prove himself worthy of that gift.

Heard it from several local radio outlets.

Tweets out today that Michael will be the starter in New York.

Randle not starting is still much different than the OLinemen complaining about him.

Only a few guys like Fisher, Archer or one of the Cowboys media people like Broaddus would know that information.

If you pay close attention to what was SAID by Jerry Jones...and what was DONE by Jason Garrett last year...it is not hard to decipher that Jason was lukewarm on Randle...and it was Jerry....especially from an economic standpoint....that wanted Randle to have this chance.

If "anybody" could run behind this OL...then why wasn't anyone else besides DeMarco given a chance last year?

I don't know early on during the off season it sounded as if Jerry was pushing for McFadden.

I have hopes for C-Mike but he'll have to show me before I feel at ease about him. One thing I do know is that he is extremely physically talented. If things click for him in his head, he could be very good. However, I'm dubious about that until I see it.

I heard it from Nate Newton and Jesse Holley, as well as a couple of outlets. I think it was Tim Cowlishaw.

You don't think a reporter can get information like that from a lineman?

I'm not saying it didn't happen, but normally Fisher and the guys on The Fan would jump on that and repeat it ad naseum.

he is the grass on the other side...its always greener, until you get there and see all the yellow and brown spots....

basically randle is not the answer. doesn't mean Michael is the answer, but he offers the fans hope. so they cross their fingers and scream and hope that all of a sudden the player that was dumped (after being a 2nd round pick), is the savior. Often it doesn't work out that way. the issue with Michael based on reports from seattle is that he is also inconsistent and is not that smart....

but you know the fan base, he is 220 lbs and he is a beast....three weeks from now, they want to dump him to, or worse yet, its the scheme, the OL, missing Callahan, why did we let murray go, lets tank the season so we draft a RB high, we have to do everything to get fourtnette, and on it goes.

I saw him make that quote during the "A Football Life" episode about Jimmy Johnson. He was talking to Belichek on a boat. He didn't mention a player's name.

whoever posted that video clip on YouTube is a genius!
