I guess the only thing Murray could've done to impress some on here was to run for 2500 yards and 20 touchdowns. Some on here need to get a grip and put whatever they're smoking down for a second. Murray was fantastic last year and him leaving the team doesn't change that fact. And it is a fact.

Randle would do well to shut the hell up until he proves he can do it without Murray softening up the defense beforehand.

Randle would be well-advised to keep his mouth shut about such things. He's really just pushing his luck.

Anytime a backup sees fit to criticize a record-breaking performance by the starter, he's asking for trouble.

Some clueless dimwits just have no idea when it's a good time to keep their piehole shut. He's such a putz.

It's pathetically obvious that the green-eyed monster has taken a big bite out of Randle's hiney. Too bad.

I totally agree with you. Always has a knack for saying something stupid. I hope Mcfadden wins the job

He's right on some of those plays where we gashed them, but Murray would also snap that bone and eat the morrow on a 2nd and 8 run to eke out 3 or 4 and make it more manageable. 3rd and 1 or 2, every back runs hard and churns for extra yards, that 2nd and 8 physical run is the one that made Murray so valuable.

Looks petty. He couldn't beat him out and now is going to talk trash after the guy breaks Emmitt's and Jim Brown's records.

They didnt bring Randle in to beat out Murray they brought him in to compliment him. Just like in a couple yrs somebody will be brought in and Randle will most likely be gone too unless he signs a deal the Cowboys want.

On this site. You must either believe that every player that played well for Dallas was perfect, otherwise you hate them. I guess Murray didn't have problems fumbling the ball either.

I think Murray cost the team just as much as the defense did. That run if it were not a fumble but a TD probably ices the game. Im sure GB makes a run, but i think that would be TD gives Dallas the win.

How is he asking for trouble? Sounds like a guy that's tired of "we have no running game since Murray left". Pass or fail, I like it....

By the way, he is right, you know..

As far as I'm concerned, he's a boneheaded dimwit who has more than his share of growing up to do. His jealous depiction of Murray's 2014 performance reveals a self serving jerk who won't ever be a team player. He's in trouble in the sense that he's already alienated about half of the C'boys' fanbase. Not good for him.

This comment makes me think that Randle doesn't understand how tough it is carrying a full load in the NFL. He of the 51 and 54 carries can say something like this because he isn't getting worn down by constantly being hit by NFL defenders like backs who are handed the ball 200-plus times.

There's no doubt that if Randle becomes the starter and gets a lion's share of the carries that he'll leave a lot of meat on the bone, too. If not, he's going to have an unprecedented season.

He's a RB the most difficult thing he has to do is learn formations and where to block. He has improved every year despite his larceny. Anyway, he was the first out with the starters and it looks like the Randle/DMC committee is plan A.

He said he looked at the film and there was a lot of meat on the bone. If it's jealousy I don't care as long as he uses it to drive himself to do better.

There's a reason Joseph Randle is perpetually made fun of in my house. Having had a family member who knew the guy in college I've heard many great stories about how arrogant he is. He doesn't have room to criticize Murray unless he can somehow run for 1900+

It's funny how people retreat to stuff like this. It was all the offensive line people claimed, then counter-arguments showing facts had people back away from this. Exaggerations of his injury history, people backed away from that. Had trouble breaking tackles, making long runs above 20+/40+ yards, people backed away from that when shown the statistics since 1996 and how he averaged around the same as previous backs.

Now the criticisms have shifted to, he doesn't have "breakaway speed" and "poor vision". The breakaway speed can be countered with the fact that he has great initial burst at the line of scrimmage and great start and stop speed, the "poor vision" is something people retreat to because they think their eye tests are great observations and it's almost impossible to provide enough film evidence to create an argument against it.

It's stuff like this that tells me people create these petty complaints to make themselves feel good about our RB situation.

Well I don't know about other people but I would say the main complaint about Murray has always been his vision, fumbling, and durability.

I don't think anyone is doing it to feel good about the about the current RB situation because it was a complaint while he was playing for us.

Also, this is just speculation, but I'd bet Randle was shown all of the lanes Demarco missed by the coaches and that is where that quote came from.

I seriously doubt he was being critical of the staff. I'm inclined to believe he just felt he got shortchanged and jealous by the number of carries he got. Murray performed better than anyone expected him to and unlike Randle, he never criticized his teammates nor their performance. Randle hasn't exactly displayed any class since his arrival. I'm betting this is just the beginning of the controversy he'll cause. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Felix Jones was averaging an insane amount of YPC when he first came into the league and during his secound year. In the first year, he averaged I believed 8.9 YPC, and nearly 7 in his second year. Once he was made the primary back, things changed. If Randle puts up a Murray-esque performance this year, then he'll be justified in his statement, but he needs to wait and show what he's about before going around making statements like that.

That's definitely not the way Clarence Hill depicted it in his quote that named Murray as his target.
