Murray also gained a lot of yards out if nothing so it kinda evened out, Randall couldn't even out run mall cops

Why is Randle giving a player on a division opponent bulletin board material for next season? Idiot.

That's definitely not the way Clarence Hill depicted it in his quote that named Murray as his target.

Clarence Hill is the king of asking questions with an agenda. The only one worse is McMahon in the Dallas market. McMahon looks for dumb players and tries to trick them.

Hill will ask the same question 3 or 4 times trying to get the answer that will go with what he is trying to write. He asked a question about Murray but the quote didn't say what he wanted. That didn't stop him from writing the headline.

Bad reporters never ask follow-up questions to clarify quotes. They find the golden soundbite and run with their own interpretation of it. That gives them a full day of play before the media (sometimes including the same reporter, sometimes not) swarms in on the player to ask whether they want to "apologize" or "retract" what they said. Thus, it becomes a "controversy" and a "distraction" -- all of which could have been avoided by asking the player what he meant.

Sounds pretty straight forward to me

I didn't say that to mean he was doing it in this instance. I said it to mean that he asks questions to get soundbites to fit his stories.

I took what Randle said to mean that he literally went over all the film with Gary Brown and looked for ways to improve. It's likely what he has been doing since they came in a few weeks ago. Murray wasn't here for that. I'm not sure what to worry about here.

I always knew he was an Eagles fan. You could tell because his girlfriend had armpit hair and drank directly out of the pitcher.

You forgot to mention that she pees standing up.

We've all seen similar comments made by fans on CZ so how can there be anything wrong with Randle making the same observation. You don't have to be a better running RB to make those comments or even a RB at all. It's just a true observation.

Yea, but when you have done jack your whole career it is not your place to question others who are breaking records.....................Its like Tim Tebow telling the media that Peyton Manning needs to work on his completion percentage.

Nah, he didn't mention looking at any film. He saw it right from the sidelines said Murray left a lot of yards on the field.

"Yeah, yeah, he had a good year" A good year???? The 17th best year a RB has ever had and the best year a Cowboy has ever had.

If Randle comes out swinging I want a formal apology from all you telling him to shut up.

That's all, have a good day :)

See, you are already setting up a fallacy.

Randle cant just "come out swinging", almost every RB can do that to start the season. If you want to be a stud back you have to bring it early, bring it late, bring it week one, bring it week six, bring it week 12, bring it week 16, bring it in good weather, bring it in bad weather, bring it with 8 in the box, bring it on short yardage with 11 in the box, bring it on goal line, bring it when you are hurt, bring it when you are tired, ect......

That is what a complete back does, not take 50 carries a season and critique others from the bench.........................can Randle be the complete back?.............they offered Murray $6 million a season as he headed out the door (12 times Randle's 2015 salary).

That kinda gives you your answer right there as to what type of back the team thinks Randle is.

Eventually this will all play out and we will better understand the true significance of the role the O-line played in last years running game success. If the Cowboys can generate anything near the results of the previous season with the RB pieces currently in place - it will speak volumes about the superiority of their guys up front.

I'm betting on the O-line.

Murray was a free agent. Randle is still on his rookie 5th round draft pick contract. Not exactly a fair comparison.

If Randle could do a comparable job, why even make the offer then?..............how the hell is it not a fair comparison?...............the team has two options................

A. Offer Murray $6 million a season
B. Go with Randle as an in house replacement for 1/12th the expense.

I don't know if you have ever been in charge of personnel decisions at a company before where you had to make decisions on hiring and replacing people, but let me give you an example............................

Its like if you are a manager at a bank and you have a teller that gets a job offer by a rival bank (they will pay her 12 times her current salary) and you can either match the offer or let somebody already on staff take over the teller's job. Your evaluation of the would be replacement is the main thing you are going to consider to make your decision.

If your decision is to offer the veteran teller 12 times what the replacement teller would make, it dam well gives you an indication of the evaluation. Because if that in house replacement could do the same job at 1/12th the salary expense of the veteran teller, the President of the Bank is going to want to know why you matched the offer and you probably will not be in charge of personnel that much longer.

When Randle goes for 1400 yards rushing and 500 yards receiving this year, am I allowed to laugh at 60% of the posters in this thread?

Or is that against forum rules? Just want to make sure before I do my vocal warmups.
