Randle Vows Not To Be A Cancer

I'm not a cap guru but I have always trusted Adam and BK. Their word is always been good enough for me. But your right.

I trust them too. The rest is normally in the ballpark at best but still a distance away.

So- let's reset: where is this team as far the cap is concerned as of today?
That will answer some concerns.

OTC says the Boys have about 8 milly in space. How much can Hardy take with a phenomenal season moving forward?

Let's talk more about the FO placing a change of pace scatback into a lead dog role and selling it like prime coastal south Florida real estate to the masses. That's more interesting.

Jerry is if nothing else a guy who figures out how to get what players he wants. There will be some restructuring if need be.

I wanted to believe... and he has done some strong running, BUT-

It's not working and I don't know how much of it to attribute the UNsuccess to him, the OL, the injuries to major factors on the offense...

This is a difficult piece of pie to eat and determine the ingredients.

Just listened to his interview from yesterday. His attitude is actually really interesting. Good for him.

Obligatory 'the problem has not really been the RBs anyway' comment goes here.

Just curious, you keep saying the QBs and the RBs are not the problem and the reason the team is losing, but why then are these the two positions that the organization is making lineup changes to?

Seems like somebody in the organization (pretty high up in the organization) seems to disagree with your assessment and thinks that QB and RB have been a problem. Otherwise, why make the changes?

Which is why I only factored this year. I know this team isn't above cap gymnastics if they need to from year to year.

It's definitely a mix of all that. But there is also a reason the staff gave Randle limited carries.

Okay... when you say "if Murray was here"... that means you paid the man 8 million large to be here this season and you have to take awake all the things that that 8 millions bought us without Murray. Goodbye Kraken, goodbye Mincey, Rolando, Collins, Gregory. So you've screwed up the Oline and defense and maybe you have the same ole Murray. Good job!... NOT!

The problem is not that we didn't keep Murray, the problem is we replaced an 1800 yard back with a couple of jackwagons and called it a day.

That is the problem.............too bad the front office and coaching staff didn't realize this until week 7.:(

Absolutely. I have no argument with that. I never did and I don't now. I now look forward to seeing if CMike can be our guy moving forward and put Randal in the position he needs to be to succeed for this team.

I think we are out of options. We ride with Cassel till Tony is back and give CMIKE a full game of carries to prove he can or can't do it.

Here's why I have such a difficult time with the "oh its just the oline" slant. . .

Randle has characteristically run well in the 1st half but been houdini's greatest disappearing act in the 2nd halves. I don't believe that to be a stamina issue with an Oline that dominated last year. Nor do I attribute it to injury. If it were injury, he would play houdini from the starting bell.

He is not a lead back and I laugh at the notion (laughed during the offseason, hoped we would draft a rb, then cried after drafting Chaz Green) of him being sold as such.

Randle will excel when he settles back into his change of pace role and CMike will do very well with opportunity.

So you think this year's OL has been just as good as last year's was, so far, performance-wise?

He better near as I can tell he's the guy we brought in to save our season.;)

Definitely not. I think it's a mixture of losing a pretty good coach and a pretty good RB. They gave Murray allot of credit last season for their success.

They've been good enough to ensure we carved more meat off of the bone than we have to this point. The problem is no Demarco.... But I think I made a thread about that a week ago.

I'm very hopeful (and confident) that CMike will bring back some of that lead dog oomph we have desperately missed.

I would like to read it, bud, if you would be good enough to give me a link.
I'm sure I would enjoy checking it out.
