The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.

All I have to say is that whatever scout in the organization banged the table for this guy, with everything that was known publicly (and very likely more that wasn't divulged), should be unemployed right now.

When you watch the Cowboys for 46 years like I have then you can come in here and tell me to leave. I am sick of this current organization that continues to drive it into the ground with idiotic decisions and bringing in rehab players who have very little chance of succeeding. Once a proud organization has become the laughing stock of the NFL, if you don't see this then that is what is wrong with this current Cowboy Organization and some of it's fanbase.

My first year with the Cowboys was 1960 and I think they won 1 game with Eddie LeBaron. I also watched the Houston Texans their first year.
Born and raised in San Angelo. Had some good years with the Cowboys and lots of bad ones. Still watching...

You have obviously never dealt with addiction or a mental illness. Comments like this make me very angry.

Wait a second here...as to obvious, I was a house parent in the very first MHMR house treatment center here in Corpus Christi. I had the additional duty of Drug and Alcohol adviser for fourteen years, while serving in the Army.

This is NOT the first directed counseling or advising by credentialed individuals, that he has received. He just wasn't suddenly a victim of social neglect or in isolation.

Just like an alcoholic, one has to accept that he is always one...and start working one's own way out. He hasn't taken this departure point on walk, even, alone already...He's still responsible for his choices and directions. It has to start with him, and not in pity for a problem.

LOL "addiction." Right.

I smoke weed almost daily, and have done so for many years. There's no such thing as being PHYSICALLY addicted to this "drug." When I need to stop, I can go as long as needed without smoking with ZERO physical ailments or withdrawals.

A fat person can claim to be "addicted" to cheeseburgers, but that's also not a real addiction.

Should there also be a "Cheeseburger Addict Treatment Facility"? And was Nate Newton just a fatso with no discipline, or was he an "addict" with a "mental illness"?

Please stop discussing things you are obviously ignorant about.

There are different forms of addiction. Educate yourself and then come back here. Also, for something you don't NEED, you sure do seem to rely on it "almost daily".

The Houston Texan's very first draft pick was Sid Blanks from Texas A&I in Kingsville, (under Gil Steinke)

Eddie LeBaron was known as the 'Little General.'

In a few years it will not be a banned substance. It pathetic that it's banned right now.

The NFL can make not doing certain things a condition of employment with them, legal or not.

For example, carrying a gun openly is allowed in some states but businesses have the right to not allow people in who are carrying. Same same.

They are trying to force our hand so he can mess up the locker room again. :)

He didn't disrupt much. The whole entire team was a mess last year after Romo went down. Winning cures all. If we were having a 2014 type season, none of what he did would even have been reported or mattered.

Skins would be getting a solid player if they sign him.

lol. Hardy is SO earger to come back to this organization! They parted on SUCH good terms.

Has nothing to do with what you bolded. He will not command a lot of money because he has no leverage. No one at this point left on the block is getting a big contract. I didn't say he would come back but I would like to pursue it.

Another typical Dallas decision to burn a bridge with a talented player over trivial nonsense. See Martellus Bennett.

He's 0-2. He claimed Jaylon would be ready by July.

No I didn't. I said he could be ready as early as July because that is the earliest the nerve would regenerate back to the peroneal muscle.

It's hilarious how much angst I generate though. If I was wrong about something that its not a big deal. Acting like you've accomplished something is hilarious.

Smoking weed everyday isn't what addiction is. Addiction is called a disorder because it is a mental disorder. What you are abusing is not the source of the disorder but the product of it.

Gregory is done. No way the Cowboys FO keeps him after this. Upside or not, he wants to smoke pot more than he wants to play football. Best to cut our losses and sign a veteran FA.

I loved watching Amos Marsh run the football for the Texans that first year. The Cowboys were pretty pitiful that 1st year though.

You're right. Hardy is a robot.
