Do you also suffer from Bi-Polar disorder? And have anxiety? Doubtful. And congratulations, your one in afew people that can get off of a drug no questions asked. You also dont need it to self medicate. I really hate when people who dont understand something comment about it. I had an addiction and it took me almost a decade to get off of it, and i still to this day have cravings after 4 years. Ask Charles Haley about being Bi-Polar. they just didnt test for drugs back then.

I'm sorry, our friend...sometimes a journey has turns. I hope that become rock solid now...and return to your own personality.

On the football side, this is now who the Cowboys are working with:

Lawrence, Benson Mayowa, Ryan Russell, Charles Tapper and David Irving.

Despite a desire to scream the sky is falling...failure of an individual sits on that individual's shoulders, not upon another. He was given a real chance, but with real potentials as well.

Your point regarding Gregory's lost opportunity is not lost. But when the hiring manager continuously makes bad selections, the employer suffers and it is upon that manager's shoulders.

And no, the sky is not falling. It fell a long time ago.

That comment wasnt directed at you. I was merely stating that judging someone for having drug issues when they are Bi Polar and have anxiety disorder to boot by saying "if you paid me millions id stop" is the most ignorant thing ive ever heard. Thats all. Kudos to you btw on everything you have done. You have seen it first hand, it aint pretty. Ive lived it, also, wasnt pretty. I have anxiety and have had to battle depression on top of that, so sitting here seeing all these comments about how hes rich so he shouldnt be smoking weed to combat his problems is hilarious to me.

I applaud you for your journey. You chose on the side of integrity and pride. Bless you...and I hope you grow stronger in that walk, my friend.

Sources: Cowboys pass-rusher Randy Gregory has checked into treatment facility, won't report to training camp. Already suspended

Rolando McClain check, Randy Gregory check.

And people wonder why some of us get worried and have negative attitudes about certain things when it comes to the Cowboys. Because its reality and because of the history of this regime.

Anyone still want to proclaim that we are better on the defense on paper than the 2014 squad?

there are all kinds of gambles...DAL thinks if the cost is lowered than the risk is worth it

But big time FAs are gambles that we have completely forsaken....so we have to build thru the draft

that is why we try to constantly try to hit 5 run HRs in the 2nd round...we think we can find the next Sherman or Brady instead of realizing those are just scratch off tickets

Smoking weed everyday isn't what addiction is. Addiction is called a disorder because it is a mental disorder. What you are abusing is not the source of the disorder but the product of it.

That's the problem. Since ANYTHING can be written off as a "mental disorder" nowadays, you get nonsense like this.

The guy couldn't stop burning weed so he's an "ADDICT" now? And needs to be in treatment?

Then I guess all the fatsos I see in this country (like half the population) who keep stuffing their faces with fatty, salty, greasy foods DESPITE the knowledge that it's slowly killing them, are all "ADDICTS" too!

Let's stop chastising them and trying to get them to eat healthier foods, and instead get them all into treatment centers so they can fight their "ADDICTION."

:) ...:muttley: No telling about the backgrounds of some management types, huh. Hey, it's football and failure is knee deep in all franchises by the nature of the sport.

Appreciate it, for the record i didnt post that for pity or applause, simply to state my point. That ignorance is why addiction is still not understood

And people still don't think we are cursed......what kind of deal did Jerry make for those 3 SBs....he gets 4 billion and we get 20 years of crap

I wish it were a curse. That would make it easier than admitting we have a pathological optimist/enabler of an owner who allows the conditions to repeat themselves over and over again.

I do love people that say they get high every day with no problems.....why they hell are you spending so much time and money on getting stoned if every thing is great....but they can stop any time they want, they just don't want to any time in the near future cause getting high feels so good

I stated in the Rolando thread that Gregory was bound to fail another test!
I just did not think it would be this frikkin soon!
Wow and some say it isnt addictive !

I wonder who is supplying him? they should look at that too.

I would cut him, but being a 2nd rounder, they will try the treatment facility, he should have been in after the first failed test way back when.
I doubt he can quit for any length of time.
They ought to put Ro in there with him??

Do we know for sure Gregory does? If that is truly the case then this was an even dumber draft pick.

It's one thing to gamble on an immature 21 year old kid who has never really had to be held accountable before and hoping that giving him some structure will help him grow up.

It's completely another thing to draft a guy with a mental health issue who believes he needs to use an illegal substance to treat his problems and think you can "cure" him. And if the Cowboys didn't know about it, how did they not do their homework on a 2nd round pick? That should not have been a tough piece of information to obtain.

I stilll think potentially. Lee and Byron alone. Tanks suspension roughly mirrors his injury and we didn't have Gregory. That's not touching the additions of Thornton, tapper and Collins. It's nothing to get excited about by any stretch, but it's still not an indefensible opinion

Oh it was documented right after the draft i believe, they figured with Charles Haley as a mentor (who also suffers from it) it would help him. They were wrong. Im not debating that the pick was smart, at all.

Just for the record on Jerry...he remains in the trenches in support of one of his players, Gregory. One can blame that upon being in the oil fields...but to this fan, it is an admirable human trait. No, it doesn't guarantee football success at every turn. But it doesn't erase the potential as well.

As a man, Jerry earns my respects.

More than a few people can stop smoking pot with out a problem. Hell people are more addicted to thier morning cup of coffee.
