Stats aside I disagree with you as well, regardless of where Irving came from, he did jump off the screen and out perform the "starters" everytime he was given a chance, Irving flat out balled while others were relaxing, you got bad eyes

He's a UDFA that the Chiefs didn't deem worthy of their 53, so put they put him on their practice squad. We grabbed him from there because we are desperately short of DEs who don't like bong hits.

Flashing or looking better than our other anemic starters is great. Let me know when he has real production and I will actually count on him to "feast" on other teams.

Like I said u got bad eyes

We all know where ge came from

What is "real production" ? Everytime dude was on the field he whooped someones butt, Dude produced big time, considering, imo, he has leon lett steal potential imo! Lets watch and see but other than D law at the end Irving was the only guy I saw getting "real production"
Youre arguments are dumb and closed minded, Jimmy Smith was let go by the cowboys only to dominate w jax, Lynch wasnt good enough for Buffallo and on and on...dumb dumb philosophy the whole "but, but, kc didnt want him" fact is they were pissed when they lost him and regretted losing him

Discussing your personal beliefs about the role of pot in the NFL and society belongs in the OT Zone not here. And while no one has been dinged many of you could have for various reasons.

You have been warned twice and this is the last time......trust me.

Stop the name calling, personal insults direct and indirect, and watch your language.

Pardon me NFL scout.

Fact is every team in the league could have had Irving in the draft, or after. Or could have signed him from the Chiefs. There is a ridiculous shortage of good pass rushing DE's in the league.

You are using a very small sample size and your "eyes" to decide that this guy will "feast" on opposing defenses. Not be ok. Not be pretty good. "Feast."

You decide to file that under eye test or whatever you want. I will continue to call it wishful thinking until proven otherwise.

watching cbs11 and Archer asked garrett repeatedly about gregory and he wouldn't comment, he did comment that they feel elliot did not do anything wrong and he will be on the field this week with the team.

Jason witten seemed surprised to find out about gregory and said he was great this offseason and hoped he would get back soon because he has a really bright future ahead of him.

Bottom line...ten weeks for not taking a piss?

So, has a sample been taken since the missed test, to see if he is in fact clean or not?

C'mon...this is borderline irresponsible in communication or deed.

He is in the program. You can not miss a test, a missed test is considered a failed test.

Same thing Le'Veon bell did. Bell blamed it on changing his phone number and didn't know when the test was..

Bell broke one of Babe's golden rules....you may not be responsible but you will be held accountable.

Uh, that's when common sense should take over...again, 10 weeks for a missed test. Immediately retest...such a small window wouldn't affect much when a weekend is involved.

Law is for justice, not a strict rule to trip someone up with...if he was dirty, that would show. If not, then stop with all the 10 week suspension crap.

I understand law, but also have witnessed wisdom as well.

Those are the rules. every player knows them. he has failed multiple tests, this is all on him. Cant blame the media or any other boogey man.

Don't tell me what I know....just because other teams wanted to gamble it doesn't mean it wasn't a gamble....every time I play craps there are a bunch of other people at the table...I guess that isn't gambling either since everyone wants some

The league was told after the draft he was no longer involved in the case. He has absolutely no issues to speak of. The entire league tried to sign him.

What a risk.
.
Just admit you don't know what you're talking about here and move on.

3) Elsewhere the GM is held accountable for personnel errors. Not in Dallas. In Dallas it gets a "man in the mirror" comment and nightly screaming into his pillow, like it matters in the long run.

Yeah, that too.

And once he's gone the only thing that changes is the man in the mirror is fatter.

Youre the only guy needs Irving to " feast " lol!

Nobody said hes Haley dude, but if you honestly think he didnt stand out last year and also consistently demonstrated Rare skill, then I stand by my statement that you have bad eyes: ie youre ability to judge talant is awful and talking to you is as much a waste of time as soneone trying to convince me that Pabst is good beer.

Irving is more like a Scandrick imo, regardless of where Claiborne came from or what "NFL Scout" saw, The true Baller was always scandrick,

I am a baller, so yeah real recognize real, That is me in the avatar (white shorts) playing with Metta "world peace" aka ron artest, went toe to toe with him all day several times. check utube!

so yeah my opinion on athletes is probably far superior to youre couch potatoe butt as I can relate

You win. Irving is better at rushing the QB than my "couch potato butt."

That doesn't mean he's actually good. Except according to you, who apparently knows more than actual NFL scouts because he looked great (but didn't actually sack anyone) for a handful of games we were mostly losing big time. With Hardy on the field.

But don't worry, your eyes have decided he is the next Ware, so its all good.

History of Cowboys recent 2nd round picks -
2009 - None, Worst draft in many many years - 1st pick rd. # 3 LBer who did nothing. (Williams I think). The backup draft.
2010 - Sean Lee - injured player, Great LB'er- hurt a lot. RKG.
2011 - Bruce Carter - Looked like Tarzan, played like Jane. 1 contract and moved on. Could not grasp mental side of game.
2012 - Claiborne - Traded up,1st and 2nd round picks - always injured. Team admitted never scouted player as they did not think would be available. Bust.
2013 - Escobar - Picked to play in 12 packages, changed coaches - scraped scheme, waste.
2014 - Lawrence - Traded 2nd and 3rd round picks, suspended 4 games - drugs.
2015 - Gregory - Failed drug test at combine, has failed at least 5-6 tests since, will be suspended 10 games, in drug rehab.
2016 - Smith - will not play all year. Knee. All world potential - will not help team this year.

8 drafts - 10 picks Counting trades, Lee and Claiborne only players at training camp let alone the season. Escobar coming off torn Achilles.
There is something fundamentally wrong with our use of 2nd round picks. This is not on the players, its on the F.O. And obviously nothing has or is changing, see Smith this year.
That is so much draft equity just wasted.....that should be the core of the team now ...

Post of the day.

5 failed tests in just over a year.....

Guy is almost beyond help. Shame but I'm not even mad at him. He hasn't ever really grown up IMO. I do blame Jerry Jones however. He damn well knew the guy was trouble and drafted him anyway. Jalen Smith is different....his knee is a question, but his character isn't. Plus, Smith had great production at ND. Gregory was DOMINATED by big, physical Olines in CFB like Iowa, Michigan State and OSU.

This team hasn't hit on a 2nd round draft pick since Flozell Adams in '98.

Sean Lee just turned 30 years old and missed half his career due to injuries, I wouldn't call that a hit.

How many GMs survive that?
