And his was exactly what everyone who was against this move feared, and rightfully so.

It was always going to be a question of rather this idiot could stop being an idiot. To this point he hasn't and smart money is on the fact that he likely never will.

I could not have said it better. Just my opinion here, but I think Jerry's ego makes him feel compelled to go out on these limbs to take big risks...just in case he hits on one so people can credit him with a steal. But when they backfire, it hurts.

Yep. I've said it before: it's the wildcatter in him.

I don't mind taking shots on the R. McClains and G. Hardy's of the world. T.O.. Charles Haley. Those chances make sense because they don't cost anything but a little bit of PR and you can pay as you go with the salaries. Even the low-round picks like we gave up in the McClain deal, big deal. But missing on a 2nd rounder because you took an unnecessary risk when your team is built around success in the draft...that hurts. Career-threatening never damage, you say? Sign me up!

You're better off taking more better players and hoping one or more of them develop in the pros and pass their counterparts who were drafted slightly higher coming out of college.

Sources: Cowboys pass-rusher Randy Gregory has checked into treatment facility, won't report to training camp. Already suspended

Before I say this just let me say I think this Guy is toast. His career is probably over.

But does this drug test really matter? Look at what happened to Josh Gordon. Didn't he fail a test while on suspension and it didn't really matter because he was suspended? Which is why he is only suspended 4 games this season? I'll start digging up stuff on Google see if I can find the info I'm trying to spew out

Charles Tapper is going to be a stud eventually.

I like the Tapper pick a lot but he's not exactly an upgrade at this point and time. He's a project for down the road.

The Cowboys front office grossly missed at DE........... putting faith in a guy like Gregory was a pretty big mistake.

What an organization.

This is our team...

I hate to be the guy that blames everything on Jerry Jones but this is what happens when the Owner puts his ego ahead of what is right for the team.

Awful coaching that give us no advantage and players that are so troubled we can't even get them on the field.

It's not fair to Tony Romo.. Our only hope to overcome all of the crap Jerry puts this team through.

Our last 3 2nd rounders will miss the beginning of the year. It's likely a 4th will as well.

Two of them could miss the entire year.

Out of our last 7 2nd round picks, 4 will probably miss beginning of the year, a 5th isn't on the team anymore, another was Claiborne.

Ouch.

I think we'll be in talks with Freeney during camp.

No McClain, No Gregory, no Lawrence, can't sign back Hardy, aaaaannnnddd we threw away a 2nd rounder on a guy who can't help a defense that is desperate for help.

Good job front office.

Jerry and his staff need to change their approach to drafting. But that would mean hiring a good GM which he will not get one. This stuff will continue to happen.

Dallas' front office is a joke.

Here's the article I was thinking of. NM what I was saying

At some point, we just hope for the best, but you can't count on this kid any longer.

It matters because Gordon hasn't played a down of football in FOREVER at this point.

That's the type of path that Gregory is heading down.
