I am going to take a different tact here.

Don't cut him. Just let him go through rehab and see what happens. No, you don't count on him to be a starting DE for you so you draft and approach free agency accordingly but you don't cut him.

Because frankly it would be typical Dallas if you cut him, the rehab takes and he goes on to be a good player for someone else. We had to swallow his crap for two years, we might as well see if there's something at the bottom of this barrel of stench.

You're right that cutting him does us no good. Either way, we just need to move on as if he's not part of this team. If he turns it around and gives us a bluebird right in time for his next contract, great. That looks really unlikely to happen, though, and I don't want to see us passing up rush ends because Jerry thinks he's got the best on in the last three drafts just ready to come in and help us as soon as he finishes up that last bong-load.

Some of these posters are so brain washed, they would defend Jack the Ripper if he was wearing Cowboy gear.

Where you seeing a lot of support for Gregory here? I almost replied to zrinkill because I don't really remember anybody bragging that Randy Gregory had been clean for months. He's always been a troubled dude with a substance abuse problem. The book on him was *always* could be a great player *if* he could manage to get clean. And he couldn't manage to get clean.

After last season, anybody thought this guy was on top of his business was fooling themselves. He's got a real issue, and it's going to tube his playing career before it could even get started.

Tyler Locket or Jalen Strong sure would look great in Cowboy blue/white right now.

Oh well.....

he doesnt have any legit problems. We have a president and people running for president who smoke weed.

The only problem is the dumb nfl claiming its bad.

If your employer says you will be suspended, we will take money from you for smoking weed and you fail those tests 5 times...you have legit problems. He knew for a long time that the employer he wanted to work for does not allow you to smoke weed.

"Six, you say? Time to get serious!"

Lol at least thats the spin his agent or team PR people are putting on it as if he now acknowledges its a serious problem he cant handle on his own.

The proper tweet would read: Cowboys cut Randy Gregory after yet another failed drug test.

Great! Jerry, please go out and get Hardy back and see if you can trade for Aldon Smith and Josh Gordon while you're at it. This is a wasted pick no matter how long it takes to get him back. Cut ties now and be done with it.

Yep, you HAVE to sign Freeney and sign him now. You can't wait around while someone else grabs him. This is no longer a want....it's a need.

Gregory is likely gone 10 games now. So basically he isn't going to help at all this year. So we have Tapper, Mayowa, Lawrence when he gets back and Ryan Russell? You cannot start the season with just that group. It would be insane.

Please cut ties to these turds. They are not what winning teams need. Gregory, McClain.....they are just the next Joe Randle waiting to happen.

I hear fans parrot this all the time. Care to share some examples?

Why would Hardy want to come back to this team?
