I've heard all this nonsense. I know it's REALLY important for some folks to believe this.

I'm all for legalized pot. Drugs in general make it easy for my kids to vastly out-achieve other kids, along with a whole host of other justified habits and belief structures.

I've fired 100 potheads, at least. Can't get an honest day's work out of them.

That last bit makes your stance a lot more understandable. You have to sleep at night I guess. In terms of national or bubble though that's pretty damn weak.

Oh and no one is advocating underage use of marijuana.

There has been some studies that have some merit but the effects of marijuana on the development of children and adolescents but all of that is muddied by the regime led by the National Institute on drug abuse and the drug enforcement agency which would only allow the study of the negative effects of marijuana.

In case you're wondering that is the opposite of scientific.

That's true, but does that mean if a player gets busted for cannabis that he wouldn't face any discipline from the league? We're talking about an entity who's braintrusts penalized two teams for CAP infractions when there was no cap at the time.

I guess Goodell and his toady Mara will make a decision at some point....Mara benefits status quo on the first game of the season so I can't see him being for anything that might take that edge away.

No - if a player were busted for possession or distribution, like Sam Hurd, it would be a different scenario and that player would most likely be disciplined by the front office under the Personal Conduct Policy.

They need to legalize it or at least stop testing. Its an embarrassment.

None of the sports leagues allow it. They deal with it differently. Baseball if there is probable cause for testing then the player is tested and punishment is handed down if the player fails.
What is embarrassing is that a player can't seem to deal with a very simple rule. What is embarrassing is knowing when the drug test will be taking place and you still can't pass it. Hell Gregory knew damn well leading up to the combines that a test would be done and he still could not pass it.

Hahah. Being an engineer in the tech industry, this statement amuses me greatly.

If marijuana had any lasting ill effects on the brain we would be in the midst of a HUGE epidemic of aging baby boomers with mental deficiencies caused by prolonged marijuana use.
look at all the cases of alzheimers that have come up in the last 20 years or so; almost all baby boomers. So think about that. The fact is that no one knows because there have been no big scientific studies.

Yeah, it does.. Sorry.

I don't use it, but more importantly, my kids don't use it. And thats really all I care about.

Puff away, my friend.

lol a ton of pro athletes smoke so when does this lazy lethargic stuff start to kick in?

I would guess that lazy lethargic people were lazy and lethargic before they ever smoked.

My first attempt at reconciling Gmoney's and Erod's differing work experiences with the substance in question, is to attribute success in using marijuana and still being viable in the workplace to intelligence.

Catch17 has a different explanation. Persistence.

Fuzzy seems to be criticizing Erod for firing non-working users.

LOL

OK, hoss.

You contradict yourself in your own post. Would you like me to show you where? ****, the back half of your whole post is a contradiction.

You're lost in the woods. Smoke a joint, brosuf.

Never mind you ignored my whole post. You're on the verge of me labeling you a malcontent. Something I'll never let go of.

Be genuine and fair. Address my posts before going off on your own tangents. Don't be selfish.

Pass duh joint, Rasta, and I'll pass it back (that's allegory, mon frere, not literally. Before you call the DEA on me).

Woot :star:
Double WOOT !!!!
