And yet you still come back?

If you want to tell yourself that Henderson was somehow promoted, you have at it. But the fact is that he said he'd only leave for a defensive coordinator position and he didn't get one and left anyway. That title is held by Defensive Coordinator Richard Smith.

Incorrect, he said any upgrade not just the DC position to the Cowboys.

I never said he was THE Defensive Coordinator, I said he was a defensive coordinator of the passing game, you will need to ask Atlanta if this was an upgrade over defensive backs coach.

The name of his title is defensive passing game coordinator position this created title may be how Atlanta placated him accordingly, I am really unsure if this was his promotion or not, just going by what the man said, not did accordingly.

Henderson, who joined the Cowboys’ staff in 2012, appeared to be ready to stay with the organization after not getting either of those jobs, and didn’t seem intent on making a lateral move. But he clearly felt he had a better opportunity in Atlanta.

Read more here: http://www.star-telegram.com/sports...orner-blog/article56398665.html#storylink=cpy

Further, he could have been wanting more cash or simply wanted to leave so everything else does not matter.

In addition, even if Henderson left anyway for a lateral move with a different title, it does not change what he told the Cowboys, it just indicates he wanted out of Dallas.

So how does this change anything, then you are just arguing Henderson is not a man of his word and/or wanted out of Dallas regardless?

Raheem Morris was Atlanta's Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Passing Coordinator last year, he was responsible to oversee the entire secondary and defensive backs coaches.

Last season he was named the assistant head coach/defensive passing game coordinator, where he oversaw a young secondary that held five of its opponents to under 200 passing yards.

http://www.atlantafalcons.com/news/...R-Coach-/e4d16b13-8e4f-43d1-87ab-640d479b24cd

Now Henderson takes over as Assistant Defensive Passing Game Coordinator and Morris was moved to Wide Receivers Coach and still retains Assistant Head Coach.

Henderson will oversee the entire secondary including Chad Walker Def. Assistant/Defensive Backs and Marquand Manuel Secondary/Senior Def. Assistant, sounds like a promotion.

Dan Quinn Head Coach
Richard Smith Defensive Coordinator
Raheem Morris Asst. Head Coach/Wide Receivers Coach
Jerome Henderson Asst. Passing Game Coordinator
Bryan Cox
Defensive Line Coach
Jeff Ulbrich Linebackers Coach
Chad Walker Def. Assistant/Defensive Backs
Doug Mallory Def. Assistant/Linebackers
Marquand Manuel Secondary/Senior Def. Assistant
Kyle Shanahan Offensive Coordinator
Bobby Turner Running Backs Coach
Chris Morgan Offensive Line Coach
Matt LaFleur Quarterbacks Coach
Wade Harman Tight Ends Coach
Mike McDaniel Offensive Assistant
Mike LaFleur Offensive Assistant
Keith Carter Assistant Offensive Line Coach
Rich Scangarello Offensive Intern
Keith Armstrong Special Teams Coordinator
Eric Sutulovich Assistant Special Teams Coach
Lance Schulters Special Teams Intern

So from Cowboys secondary coach to "overseeing the entire secondary" is a promotion to you? Good to know.

They can dress it up with whatever title they want to, but the fact is that he interviewed not only for head coach of the Browns, but defensive coordinator too, and said that he'd only leave for that role.

Which he didn't get but left anyway.

For something that is so "boring" to you and something you wouldn't "waste time" on, you sure have an awful lot of interest and time invested.

You made an issue out of this situation, I simply stated what Henderson told the Cowboys and what he actually took going to Atlanta accordingly.

Henderson wanted an upgrade, sure a head coaching or DC position was ideal, he missed out but apparently he lowered his standards to take anything that sounded like an upgrade.

Atlanta has a different structure, so it appears it was an upgrade enough for him to placate his reasoning to leave the Cowboys.

He is now not the secondary coach, he now oversees the secondary coaches and entire secondary.

The boring comment was to how you were acting and for making a big deal about the situation with an attempt at insults which is stupid, over this, really????

I have no stake in this move, I could care less why he left, I am just glad he did leave.

So am I, as I have stated. But you're the guy who keeps returning to this thread in some vain and misguided attempt to be 'right' about him getting a promotion.

He didn't. Nobody's buying what you're selling, move on.

You do not need buy anything, I am not selling anything but looking at the fact that he will oversee his former position with the Cowboys, sounds like an upgrade and promotion to me.

You are upset because as usual, you blurt stuff out while being misinformed.

Let us see, Cowboys Secondary Coach in charge of defensive backs himself or Assistant Defensive Passing Game Coordinator in charge of entire secondary including both secondary position coaches.

Yes, that sounds like an upgrade.

Only to you it does.

Let's add Chief Cook and Bottle Washer as meaningless words attached to his name too, because lord knows some sucker will buy it as a "promotion".

Once again you are wrong, apparently to the Atlanta Falcons it is a different position than secondary coach and is obviously a supervisory position that Morris had last year!

The facts are before you, now let us watch your denial.

Even retail employee's understand that their supervisor is in charge and in a higher role.

Henderson will oversee the entire secondary including Chad Walker Def. Assistant/Defensive Backs and Marquand Manuel Secondary/Senior Def. Assistant, sounds like a promotion.

The below is from Atlanta's official site:

Dan Quinn Head Coach
Richard Smith Defensive Coordinator
Raheem Morris Asst. Head Coach/Wide Receivers Coach
Jerome Henderson Asst. Passing Game Coordinator
Bryan Cox
Defensive Line Coach
Jeff Ulbrich Linebackers Coach
Chad Walker Def. Assistant/Defensive Backs

Def. Assistant/Linebackers

Offensive Coordinator
Bobby Turner Running Backs Coach
Chris Morgan Offensive Line Coach
Matt LaFleur Quarterbacks Coach
Wade Harman Tight Ends Coach
Mike McDaniel Offensive Assistant
Mike LaFleur Offensive Assistant
Keith Carter Assistant Offensive Line Coach
Rich Scangarello Offensive Intern
Keith Armstrong Special Teams Coordinator

And I don't care what words the Falcons use to describe the position! He's either a defensive coordinator - the job other than head coach obviously that he said he would only leave for - or he isn't!

And he isn't!

The Falcons can add 100 coaches to their staff and give them whatever over-inflated, meaningless titles they want, it doesn't make them defensive coordinator.

Poor logic, he said he wanted an upgrade, apparently he did not get the upgrade he desired initially but clearly the position is an upgrade from what he had in Dallas.

Denying this makes you look foolish, it may not have been the upgrade he wanted as head coach or the DC Coordinator but it is an upgrade compared to what he had in Dallas.

He does not need to be the defensive coordinator, you are stuck on what he initially said but apparently perplexed by what he actually did accordingly.

It is not that hard, he took whatever kind of promotion he could get, even if it was not what he actually wanted ideally speaking.

It is not an either/or logical fallacy, people tend to lower their standards when the ideal situation does not work out but they still will leave if a better opportunity comes their way, obviously Henderson viewed Atlanta as just that indeed.

Drops the Mic...

Secondary coach Jerome Henderson has informed the Cowboys that he has taken a job with Atlanta, a source said.

The departure means the club will be searching for a replacement as it departs Monday for Mobile, Ala. to coach the Senior Bowl.

The Cowboys hoped to retain Henderson. But he interviewed with the Falcons on Friday and there are reports he will become the team's passing game coordinator, a promotion over his current position.

No, it's not that hard. He wanted a defensive coordinator job - a clear promotion. And he didn't get it.

Attack the man but not the truthfulness of the facts, I understand your approach well, you sir just committed another logical fallacy besides the either/or fallacy.

Moore is reporting facts not providing an opinion piece.

The proof is in your face but you deny because you are wrong.

Are you twevle?

You were proven wrong, time to man up.

I wasn't "proven wrong" about anything! The guy said he would stay unless he got a defensive coordinator job. He didn't, and he left anyway.

But keep telling yourself anything you need to in order to feel better. Like how this is a "waste of your time" or "boring", and then spend the next several hours beating the dead horse trying to 'win' something.

You said his departure was not for a promotion in the end, any type to be exact after being pressed on the matter.

You are wrong, humble yourself and suck it up!

He left for any type of promotion in the end, why is is that so hard for you to understand?

Ideally, he wanted to be a Head Coach and DC Coordinator but apparently was willing to take any type of promotion when his ideal positions did not transpire, this is not rocket science.

What he said early in the process is meaningless, people change their minds.

The fact he left for Atlanta and took a position that was a promotion over what he had in Dallas stultifies your argument to the core.

What he said initially and what he did is meaningless other than the fact he still took a promotion to leave Dallas.

The dead horse that is beat was your argument that Henderson did not take a promotion of any kind.
