How was he handed the job? Show me something from camp or the preseason games that showed us Randle was just "handed the job". All the backs looked mediocre, we went with the guy that was in our system for 2 years.

I don't understand the reaching some of you guys do. Do some of you not get tired of digging to find something to fit your narrative? Knock it off already.

I have no proof.

I have no proof that any of the projected starters, like Randle, actually beat their competition.

Mcfadden was 4th in the league in rushing this year and didn't start for almost a month of the season, correct?

We're paying him around a million a year if that vs Murray getting 7 or 8 mill?

Come on.. He's not coming back here.

I think he would comeback on a much reduced salary bro.

He does? What's the back story on that skirmish?

Don't remember the specifics, but Bob called him out for basically conjuring up a story. They went back and forth a little bit and Crappoport blocked him.

If you google it there was a thread on here about it that pops up as the first link

I hate when people think like this, no offense to you, but football is so unpredictable. I feel better about this team than the 2013 team, I really thought we were a lost cause then. Carolina fans would've thought you were hysterical if you told them they would've had a 15-1 Super Bowl season 10 games into last year.

As far as the defense goes, you can make a strong case that this defense is a better unit than the 2013 Broncos. They rebuilt that defense into a damn good unit in one offseason. I'm not saying we can do that but it can be done.

As the owner of a football team, you have to be realistic in order to make the proper decisions. The fact that Jones has thought we are one player away each year is one of the big reason he makes bad decisions. Certainly anything can happen as you say, but you cant run your team like that.

One DE or one Corner isnt going to put this team over the top next year. And a QB can help you in the short term as well. If Romo goes down, you can stay in the hunt. It makes the most sense. Passing up on franchise QB is NEVER a good thing to do. Even if you have Tom Brady in his prime, I would never do it.

Rebuilt the defense in one off season? I highly doubt that. But even if they did, how many teams have been able to do that? And do you think Jerry Jones has the ability to do that? Again, you have to be realistic.

I guess it would depend on the money. Can't see us letting him walk due to the asking price last year due to the thought he'd decline prior to the end of a new contract, but now a year later, at 28 yrs old, we decide he could have a few more good years left. There would have to be a major discounted price for it to make sense for us.

Also, Seattle is going to be in the market for a RB which is why they are mentioned. But I really could see them draft Derrick Henry late in the first rather than sign 28 yr old Murray.

this one back in 2013?:

I always get a kick out of these exchanges. You follow enough media folks and you realize that some of them really don't like each other. lol

Bob Sturm ‏@SportsSturm 1h
Ian Rapaport says Rodgers will be shut down if they lose Sunday. Of course, he also said Hatcher/Romo had a fight and Big Ben to be traded.
I forgot about the Maurice Jones Drew trade. Another Rapoport classic
On this planet I am designing, scoops are monitored and catalogued if you call yourself an Insider. Fall below 50% and the floor opens up.

George Paschall ‏@geopaschall 2h
@SportsSturm are you still blocked by @RapSheet , Bob??

Bob Sturm ‏@SportsSturm 1h
@geopaschall @RapSheet not sure. Don't follow fiction writers.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 1h
@SportsSturm I never said that. Not sure what you're doing, but I never said that. Said it is a possibility.

Bob Sturm ‏@SportsSturm 49m
@RapSheet not sure? Let me be clear: you lead the NFL in scoops thrown against the wall that turn out to be weak vague rumors. Clearer?

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 51m
@geopaschall @SportsSturm never reported anything about a MJD trade. Why are you making up stuff about me?

@RapSheet @geopaschall please. You are saying you didn't say the Cowboys are shopping for a RB 4 weeks ago before Det Dal?

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 44m
@SportsSturm man, take all the shots you want. That's your right on whatever show you are on. But stick to what, ya know, happened

Bob Sturm ‏@SportsSturm 44m
@RapSheet nice defense, off brand Glazer.

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 35m
@SportsSturm @RapSheet As an expert in Twitter battles, I give this one a D-minus. Needs some more nastiness, fellas.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 30m
@espn_macmahon @SportsSturm I don't get it, Tim. Totally lost with this. Maybe there's a reason I was a loyal GAC listener.

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 26m
@RapSheet @SportsSturm My role here is to antagonize, not sympathize. Now come out swinging!!!!

Bob Sturm ‏@SportsSturm 23m
I'm done. If you have internet, you can validate my claims on "vague, weak rumors". Otherwise, you know how I feel now and let's move on.
