If Crapoport is reporting it then you know there is zero truth to it. Worst "NFL Insider" in the business. Plus he's got beef with my sports leader Bob Sturm
Same FO that had Murray riding the bench for Felix Jones. You know they are over faithful to the incumbent. And he was 4th in rushing not just OK smhI love all the people that are acting like the FO knew what they were doing at RB.
They just conveniently forget Randle and that they panicked and traded for CMike because they had soooooo much faith in DMC. McFadden didn't show anything for the first 4 weeks or so and only did OK once Randle was cut. Some plan.
Does it matter? He obviously couldn't beat out Randle in the beginning of the year.

He was injured in offseason. Keep moving the goalpost though
Well we needed Murray last year. I don't want to hear about McFadden. Yes he did better that many thought he would do but the Cowboys still couldn't run the ball down people's throats like last year. McFadden would be a good backup. Having said that I think it's best now to draft a young RB who could do what Murray did.
You wasn't complaing when Murray was on this team. Now brining him back is a bad option?
He finished almost 800 yds and 10 TDs short of DMurray. That is not good, it is OK.
The rest of the league had a down year rushing because of a bunch of injuries.
But keep accepting mediocrity because the team saved a few bucks.
Just like Selvie, Mincey. LRobinson, SMoore all had good 1st years and then showed their true worth.
So now we are comparing people across different seasons?? lmao.
DMurray had 1850 yds and 13 TDs in 2014
DMcFadden had 1090 yds and 3 TDs in 2015 with Collins added to OL
How is it hard for you to grasp which year was much, much better?

Guess rushing was down because of a bunch of injuries to all teams but the Cowboys last year?
Love that logic. Not to mention forgetting the injuries Dallas had. No Romo, no Dez... no effect on rushing right? Nah according to you that only effects "the rest of the league".
Disclaimer: I am not suggesting DMC's year was as good as Murrays. Just laughing at your disregard to an even playing field in your argument, when in fact it can be argued that Dallas had one of the worst seasons in regards to key injures on offense (How many other teams lost both their starting quarterback and number 1 wide receiver for most of the season last year?).
You really believe it was a open competition?
Yes?
Our backs were injured for some part of camp. We gave Randle the job, and McFadden didn't look good in limited playing time. As I've posted before, outside of the final 4 games, McFadden was highly inconsistent. Hardly anything to be excited about.
The injuries I was referring to were the ones to the best RBs in the league, not Qbs and such.
People are trying to oversell McFadden finishing fourth when Bell, Lynch. Charles, McCoy, Forte, Ingram, Hyde, Forte, CJohnson and Blount all missed significant time. It was a fluke year for lead RBs and really ironic that DMC made it through.
Randle, like most players on this team, was given his job.
I'm not going to argue about whether or not Mcfadden is anything to get excited about because he's a stop gap regardless.
