Saleh had a good QB in Aaron Rodgers and couldn’t win. Rodgers may not be what he was, but he’s still good. Saleh had a losing record every year in New York. He would be a big step down from McCarthy.

Here’s a fascinating stat goes to the coaching of this man perhaps and a person the Cowboys should talk to . The Tenn Titans although 3-14 with horrible QB output from Levis ranked second in the NFL in yards allowed per game right behind the Eagles . Cowboys were near the bottom.

Denard Wilson had been the DB coach with the Ravens before that on some solid Ravens units .
Zac Orr Current Ravens DC , Wilson Titans DC , Joe Brady Bills OC ….come on Jerry open up your limited coaching vision bring in these next generation coordinator’s for HC interviews.

In what world do you think Jerry is going to hire someone and give them power? Whoever is the next coach will be a yes man. There’s no avoiding it when Jerry is essentially the judge, jury and executioner
Yeah I agree, but, some people here think he would be something different.

He was 2-3 this year. "Couldn't win" is a stretch. They went 3-9 after firing him.

He needs a good OC, but if we get that, why not? Jets defense was excellent under Saleh.

Now they are interviewing Leslie Frazier too . Yet another Gruden and Carrol alum. Im tellin ya, they are interviewing dudes for the DC on behalf of Gruden or Carrol it seems. Carrol and Frazier especially.
Why wouldn’t we just hire either Gruden or Carroll first and then interview the DC candidates? I mean not those guys are currently not under contract so we could hire them today.

If these guys are under contract (Saleh isn’t) they can’t walk away from the deals with their current team unless it’s for a promotion to head coach. Or their current employer just says “sure, go”.

They want to much control, like being able to hire their own assistants and stuff.

I'm not big on the thought of Saleh leading the team, but he could've had prime Brady and failed. That offensive line was horrible. Their front office brought in a bunch of weapons and neglected to build the trenches, leading to every QB during Saleh's tenure running for their lives. You can't win like that. Massive front office blunder.

We need a head coach with a much better track record as a head coach to inspire the fan base and provide some hope.

I agree 100%. I'd go another direction, but Saleh is an elite defensive coach. I'd rather him that Kellen Moore.
