Sources around the league say Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn "has told people the Jets are his first choice if he were to be offered a head coaching position."

Glenn has been heavily linked to the New Orleans Saints' opening as well.

Jerry doing the same thing he did when he hired McCarthy. Bring in Rooney rule guys your not even thinking of hiring then go after an old coach, but they may go Kellen this time.

Like who? Lol out of who's available? Like what former HC do yall want thats realistic?
Considering the resources available, I'd rather see conversations with Dan Lanning, Marcus Freeman, Ben Johnson, Steve Sarkisian, and even further talks with Deion Sanders over guys like Kellen Moore and Robert Saleh. What kind of question is that? What do you consider realistic? We have no idea what the Jones clan is thinking right now, but we do know that the fans are restless, and based on some of the recent interviews we've seen with JJ, he's feeling it. Do you really think Jerry believes he can sell Robert Saleh, a guy that was just fired by the Jets, or Kellen Moore, a guy that we let go just a couple of years ago without exhausting every other option first?

I'll be thoroughly pissed if Moore comes back to Dallas. I don't even want him back as an OC, let alone an HC.

I was never happy with the McCarthy hire either, he never seemed like he'd be the coach and get this team deep into the playoffs. But at least he was plausible....Moore????? Come on, man!!!!

I still don't think Sanders is realistic. And Moore/Saleh doesn't seem like the final answer either.

Overall we didn't learn anything today that clears up the HC search.
Agreed. When was the last time Jerry did something decisively in a proactive way? I can’t remember.

So I expect this “search” to last perhaps all the way to the SB…where JJ can try to pre-empt the proceedings with his announcement of his new head coach. Then when the name is announced we all either say, “What?”, “Are you kidding me?”, or “OMG.”

If he is they should sign him. If McCarthy gets the Bears job he’ll offer Harris a job asap, and it won’t have to be a promotion, as he is no longer under contract. Jerry should get him signed.
Where is the confirmation that Harris is not under contract, I’ve only seen that here in the zone from posters with opinions or guesses.

Saleh had a good QB in Aaron Rodgers and couldn’t win. Rodgers may not be what he was, but he’s still good. Saleh had a losing record every year in New York. He would be a big step down from McCarthy.
Aaron Eodgers hasn’t been a QB since he was in Green Bay,

He stole $112m from the jets in the two years he was there, not to mention the carnage from his “leadership”.

A bunch of people with no nfl HC backgrounds so your making my.point, won't know much until it happens. Honestly it's more about being able to coral your team and LEAD men in 1 commom.goal. AND having a kick arse OC and DC.

Saleh is no diff from.the others except actually having a good team and an owner who doesn't hang on EVERY WORD AND THIMG Aaron R. Says and does.

Lanning, Freeman, Johnson, Sarkisian.

Only one of those names is even a reasonable option

He had almost 4000 yards and 28 TDs on a dysfunctional team that isn’t very talented.

I’m sure the line forms to the left of teams wanting some of what he has to offer.

Dude was washed before he joined the jets. Now he’s washed and a toxic black hole.

How do you figure? All are college guys, and college guys generally have an NFL clause. I haven't read the language of their contracts, but it would be dumb to not at least inquire about their availability.

Look man, I don't hate the idea. I just think there are better options out there worth pursuing. Why would you not look at college coaches that haven't proven anything in the NFL in favor of a guy that has been an NFL coach and hasn't proven anything? We really going to bring up ownership? You do know Jerry Jones is leading the circus around here, right?

Because Jerry isn’t going to hire a guy without NFL experience. Im only giving credence to Johnson, assuming you meant Ben, but even that is a long shot since Jerry has said he prefers not only NFL experience but HC experience.

I’m sure at least one of those gusy has a good shot at making in the NFL. Just not here.
