Rashad Jennings says Giants told him not to score on consecutive runs

People are stunned we won because of the turnover differential. If we don't turn the ball over 3 times on bad luck plays then we win by 3+ touchdowns.

The Giants are just simply awful. Beckham was basically a non factor too which had to completely end collinsworths life. I like Chris as a commentator but his love fest with Odell is pathetic and it's shocking NBCs producer doesn't somehow step in and say something. It's seriously that bad

Before ODB it was non stop JPP. He was already calling him a HOFer after his rookie season (which was great, but in Collingsworth fashion kept talking him non stop)

Does anyone really believe that (even if they thought we had a timeout left) they didn't want to go up by 2 scores with under 2 minutes left? Come on! Really? That rings of someone who says "You didn't beat me up! I quit!"...

One of the ESPN NY reporters is speculating that Eli and/or the coaches thought the Cowboys were out of timeouts at that point. Because, clearly, that's the only way you're attempting not to score.

So... they didn't hear them announce that "Dallas is NOT charges a time out" right before they wound the clock...

Wow. That's insanely stupid of the Giants' coaches.

And if time management was the most important thing to them, then why were they throwing on third down?

Also, not real wise of Jennings to put his coaches' bad internal decisions out there like that.

yeah it is possible but hard to believe, and your right he should not have made it public.

If this is true, the Eli is the dumbest qb in the NFL.

"Rashad, I got an idea. Don't try to score okay. They'll never expect it!"

I can believe it.

I am amazed that this is being talked about out loud....and in public. L....O.....L...

You tried not to score in a game you were clinging to a lead on. Lol.

What Jennings said just doesn't make a lick of sense.... It doesn't matter if you are going against Elway or Staubach (or Romo), you always take the two score lead (if you cannot completely run out the clock). Playing not to lose will get you beat everytime.

Eli isn't the smartest guy around…I am pretty sure Vince Young would outscore him in any test. I love that they just gave him 80M+.

Does anybody really believe this guy is making this stuff up? They obviously told him not to score. Do you think he would lie for no reason. For him to flat out lie about that would certainly result in his release.

These guys are Giants. Maybe he is lying. Maybe he's lying because they have a hard time accepting defeat by the Cowboys and can't explain to the press why they lost.

This is worse than the time McNabb didn't know the OT rules. At this point, and based on his postgame comments, I think it is obvious that Eore thought we only had one timeout.

And then throw it in the end zone on 3rd down.

They are either the dumbest team of all time or this doesn't pass the smell test.

You are correct Sir ! Some think stinks ... Where's the air freshener?

Baloney, or simply epic stupidity. The *only* reason you fall short and not score early is if the score will PUT you in the lead - thereby giving the other team the chance to use time to tie or retake the lead. Up by three, there is never, ever, ever, ever a valid reason to not score. When leading you always take more points. Always.

I was looking for something funny posted on the nets recently- found it, see if you know the reference:
