Geno Smith went to Foxboro and threw for 350 against an improved Pats team and got the W

Sam Darnold beat the 49ers. The same 49ers Dak is 0-3 against

Baker Mayfield went into Detroit and beat an NFC favorite in the Lions

Gardner Minshew went into Baltimore and beat the Ravens


Yet for the last 6 months, these stans have cried about us being dead in the water if we dont re-sign this bum for $60M/year

I think it's combination Dak can't execute the game plan / plays and coaches can;t figure out what to do with him.

Every QB has unfortunate blameless errors, and seem to recover. Dak can't. He just slowly deteriorates in a helpless blob. His weapons shouldn't be expected to dig him out HE should! .

Sorry… Dak no longer gets to be graded on a curve. At $60 million per year, he’s not supposed to have his team get blown out at all. Did the defense suck? Yeah of course they did… but he’s being paid as QB that’s supposed to elevate others.

Sorry, 3 all pros on o line last year. And they probably upgraded some weakness (center) from 2023

Cee Dee and Ferguson. Cooks is a reasonable #2. I would agree we need help at RB but to say the talent around Dak is "awful" is simply not accurate

He is average. Occasionally shows flashes of brilliance (mostly against bottom feeder teams) occasionally looks putrid (usually against anyone with a pulse) but mostly average.

And we just paid him like he's the love child of Mahomes and Elway.

It's time he started playing like the highest paid guy in pro football history week in and week out.

Until the guys around him are making $60 M a year, I'm holding him to a higher standard than them. Period

Let's be very clear here. The defense sucked. Sucked bad. They were easily the biggest culprit in the loss. They should get the majority of the blame.

That being said................ Dak wasn't great himself. A few really bad passes, he made a few mistakes. Take the drive near the end of the half where he got pressure from the edge and threw a bounce pass to Elliott. Tough pass? Yes. But a pass that has to be made? Yes, if you consider Dak an upper echelon QB. Today it was meaningless but if you want to beat the better teams and make noise in the playoffs, those kind of passes can't be missed by Dak. Nor can you throw the interceptions he threw today.

So defend him all you want, he wasn't great himself today. He has to be better than this for Dallas to succeed. How anyone can deny that is puzzling.

Zero. He wasn't great last week either but the defense was amazing. This week the whole team sucked except the kicker.

Dak has to engineer some drives and make some amazing plays. It's just how it works for a highly rated QB.

He has to figure it out and have the skills...mentally and phsycially...to help stop the bleeding. No other single player has as much opportunity.

We see it over and over...QB making plays...with the help of his team of course but it STARTS with the QB.

Did Dak do that?

Essentially the same productivity from the QB position yet a disparity of $100 million.

Yes he was. But he has to make that pass if you consider him an elite QB. That's a pass Mahomes probably makes or Allen.

Just because he had pressure in his face doesn't mean he should get a pass, especially if you consider him (which you do) an upper echelon level QB. You can't demand respect for Dak as a great QB and then turn around and make excuses for him every time he doesn't make a play when the situation isn't perfect for him to succeed.

You can rant and rave all you want, he HAS to make that throw. He just has to.
