As it stands BIGG is the back up to Free...remember as it stands.

I think we get a player or two via FA.

I do too, and I think Jones made that pretty clear in his interview today that we're going to, especially at OL. Wouldnt be surprised if a veteran FS is added either.

C- they still failed to address the o-line or fs(our weaknesses)

I'm shocked...I figured you would have a D- at least. You did not get your pet cat so I know you are butt sore.

:laugh2:eek:h Mr. BUTTSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!

I think it's a somewhat of a risky draft, but there is no one I would have rather had at 24. Dez is worth the risk that far down in the first round, getting the top WR in the draft.

Sean Lee looks like a great player, in the Dat Nguyen mold, but the question on him is can he stay healthy. If he can I think he can take over for Brooking in the next few years and possibly take over Carpenter's position this year.

Ansah is a project and could possibly fill an immediate role in the return game.

I like the Sam Young pick, looks like he has the potential to be a solid backup.

Wall and Lissemore, anything from these guys is a bonus, these guys will have to battle to make the team.

Right now, I grade it a B.

read what I wrote hippie. would I have rather we took Burnett over Lee? absolutely. I also would've rather taken Vlad and several other players over Lee. just like I said we did not address our weaknesses and that imo will probably wind up costing us a playoff game again.

to me, we got 5 good players out of 7, 2 of them were busts to me
wall and young

so i would say a B

or B-

Joe, how in the world can you call someone a bust before they've even stepped on the practice field?

Offseason isnt over dude.

I'd much prefer to draft a higher rated guy that will play and contribute this yr, than a lower rated guy at a position where they do nothing but sit (OL) unless someone got hurt, or reach extensively for a lower rated guy at a perceived area of need (your guy, who went 16 picks after Lee and clearly was rated nowhere near Lee on the Cowboys board).

They can still add OL depth (which Jerry said would happen) and maybe even a veteran FS to at least compete against Ball and Hamlin. And who knows, maybe Ball or Hamlin turn into quality players now that they get a real shot.

I'll give it a C. We didn't address Oline or FS. We drafted a bad LB. Dez Bryant was the best pick easily.

B+/A-

petered out a bit at the end. I will say that it is EASY for teams to recieve big accolades who aren't picking so low in the rounds. My A- grade is the rating I would give after factoring in our draft position.

I give it a B+. I think we got three immeadiate contributors for 2010:

Dez - Third wide-out and Punt returns
Lee - Nickel LB and special teams
AOA - Kick-off returns, potential for PT in the Dime.

Those three could/should turn into quality front line starters in 2011. I think any draft that can make that claim is a very good draft.

The lower round folks were project players which will take up some special teams rotation for the next few years until we see if they can develop into something.

I penalized slightly because we could not find a way to address obtaining some more quality O-line depth. But, there are only so many picks to go around.

Isn't Lee going to sit the bench anyways ?

For this yr, the draft is all about those first two picks, and they were exceptional.

AOA is the wildcard. He could end up being a key special team contributor this yr and a potential FS fixture down the road.

The last 3 picks are about depth and development for the future. The W&M kid sounds really intriguing, and Wall could easily end up the 4th CB.

Very very good weekend. We moved up twice to get highly rated players and still ended up with the same number of picks as we started with. Great job of working the draft.

What he said.

After seeing Max Unger get grabbed right in front of them last year by a team moving up, I think Dallas decided to be more aggresive this year in making sure they got the guys they wanted.

I think Jerry and his staff did a great job of manuevering and getting great value. I also see tough guys in this draft ... guys that compete. I love that.

Well done.

OH! Cory Proctor will seemingly be around here until the freaking sun goes out...no Center help really.

I would've liked to get a LG that could replace kosier after next season or a fs to start this up coming season atleast. we don't need just o-line depth we need starters imo. I hope we can atleast sign Atogwe cause that would make me feel a more confident in this team.

Couldnt agree more!

C- is my grade and it would of been a D+ if it wasn't for Dez Bryant's star power and gamechanging potential. This team did not adequately address its most pressing weakness when there were ample opportunities to do so, that being the Offensive tackle spot. Instead, we gave the Eagles an extra draft pick to trade up only 4 spots to get a player that we didn't need at all that probably would have been there at our orignal pick.

Anyway, I truely do hope that Bryant is the phenom that we all think he can be in the NFL. If he isn't, I'm afraid this draft might fall under the horrible category for the Dallas Cowboys when looking back in the future.
