Rate our 2010 Draft.

We drafted the best WR, the 2nd best ILB (best if we are to believe Singletary), and a guy who will eventually move to FS and has higher rated ball skills than Berry and Thomas. We added depth at CB, OL and DL. We picked up two electric return men.

A

I'm thinking we did a nice job this year too. I think we hit on talent in every round. So I say A as well, not yet having seen them develop.

B- in my opinion, But counting with the in-actives nd hurt players from last draft who can step in to contribute this year , it should go to B+ or border A-

:)

He's going to be out nicel backer right ?

Thats not exactly sitting on the bench is it?

But as fyi, Wade and Jones said he'd play extensively both in the nickel and spelling Brooking/James at times in the regular defense. Jones said he'd ultimately "get starter snaps" in terms of how many he gets this year.

You can also look at it like this. We kinda get a few more "rookies" as well. Robert Brewster, Brandon Williams and Stephen Hodge will all hopefully come in and compete this summer.

Considering what we got out of the 27th position with no extra picks, I'll give it an A- (with all the usual perfectly reasonable caveats about not being able to judge these things too soon.)

B at this time. Anything else will have to wait. I really would have liked to have gotten some O line help higher; that is my one real gripe.

I would've liked to get a LG that could replace kosier after next season or a fs to start this up coming season atleast. we don't need just o-line depth we need starters imo. I hope we can atleast sign Atogwe cause that would make me feel a more confident in this team.

So did I. What you have to realize is that we're looking at the Cowboys with different eyes than the guys in charge.

I wanted 3 OL prospects. OL is our weakest and oldest unit. Not so much concerned with replacing a starter as I was increasing our options for injury and grooming replacements now to take over starting spots in 2011 and 2012.

But the team always sees more holes than we do.

Sam Young was an awful pick
:welcome: out of the lurkers depth of darkness you freaky voyeur you!

dam you must really hate the pick to have held your tongue so long until this....

If you judge a draft by the players it clearly displaces, I'm pretty happy.

It is unlikely the following players will be on the opening day roster:
Carpenter. Watkins. McQuistan. Hurd (will miss ya Sammy and wish it was Roy instead but...).

If only Proctor had been added to this list, I'd give the draft an A+.

As it is, and with my doubts about Young, I have to go B+.

As it is there are two players with chances of being all time Cowboys greats (Bryant and Lee), and for some reason I just love the 7th round DT.

This team took a step forward the last three days.

Gotta give it an F- to a D, not for what we added, but for what we failed to get rid of. This was a golden oppurtunity to get rid of some noisy excess baggage. We Failed.

How can a 4 year starter at a major university be an "awful" pick. I swear some people are just ********.

Not for a lack of trying.

I would have been really happy if we could have gotten a center to replace the proctologist. There had to be someone we could get to replace that bum!

Ok if they're willing to give this guy that much credit then I won't be as down on the pick as I once was. I do however, like the addition of an ILB because I do feel it was a position of need and if Lee means no more Carpenter then that's even better. I dislike him as the pick because I don't think he's big enough i don't think he will work in a 3-4 system and I question him in coverage. I do believe there were better options at LB and S and oT and for the cowboys to come away with the guys that they did come away with it just leaves me feeling like we missed out on a couple of guys.
