Stephen King's The Mist on Showtime

Typical King movie....cheesy for the most part....a really messed up ending

I must have watched the same showing as you. When it was over I was wishing that I had my 1.5 hours back.

The Mist was a terrible, terrible movie. Mostly I'm mad cause I actually paid to see it in theaters.

I really dont think so, I thought the stories intertwined perfectly, and I was more than happy to see the story focus more on the jewish chick than Aldo and the gang.

I think if anything, the Basterds story relied much more on Shoshanna (sp?) than the other way around. I don't see a reason really why one couldn't edit out the Basterds entirely and still complete her story (with the possible exception of some closure with the very last minute, though one could assume). I think the bar scene is what really kills the momentum of the movie. It goes on far too long IMO.

Just saw 3:10 To Yuma. I love westerns and this one was pretty good. Crowe was very good as well as Christian Bale. If you are into westerns I recommend it.

Completely disagree. I caught on Showtime as well and this a very good movie. I loved the ending too.

Last two nights i've watched No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood.

No Country was a very good flick imo but the ending was kinda lame.

There Will Be Blood is the best movie i've seen this year.

I found it highly over rated and very boring.

I also just watched Watchmen recently and found it about the same...Maybe if I had read the graphic novel I would have liked it better but it was still slow and boring to me.

Gran Torino and Taken were the best DVDs I have watched in some time.

That's funny cause when I saw it, I thought it was awful then the DVD came out on Netflix and I saw it had a positive rating and was absolutely shocked.

It was just everything I hate about a scary movie that could have been good. I won't say what I hated for fear of "ruining" it for someone, but there's a point in the movie when they explain the cause of the problem that just sent the whole movie into the toilet for me.

Gran Torino was great. Taken was absolute garbage. So much Dues Ex Machina in that movie, so much of it is so much luck.

Star Trek was the last good movie I saw in theaters. GI JOE was the last awful movie I saw in Theaters, shoulda known better than to watch a movie with a Wayens brother in it.

I liked taken except for the daughter. I don't remember what age she was supposed to be in the film, but she acted like she was 12 while looking 24.

Memento - 8/10

I gotta watch it again, though. Not as confused as I was after reading a few FAQ's online.

I loved the ending of the Mist, so messed up.

How does everyone feel about Ali?

Huge star, interesting character, but no one ever talks about it.....

I caught Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus on SyFy the other day. This is perhaps the worst movie made in the new millennium. However, it has one of the best scenes for illiciting unintentional, uproarious laughter you will ever see.

That was just from flipping channels over the weekend.

I saw "500 Days of Summer" last weekend. Good movie. I need to get back to the theater soon.
