The Ugly Truth 4.5/10

It began with promise, but no way in hell a man can be that vulgar and still get the girl.

Haven't posted recently in here but since last time:

North by Northwest 7/10
Had to see it cause Lucky Number Sleven is one of my alltime favorites and references this movie. Movies are so different these days - for the better.

The Box 6/10
I was expecting so much more so I was disappointed.

Inglourious Basterds 8/10
Overrated. District 9 definitely best movie of year

500 Days of Summer 8/10
Cute 'breakup' movie. Has funny and awww moments. Might also be depressing though.

Four Christmases 6/10
Holiday garbage but watchable. Didn't find myself wanting to stop. Very predictable though.

The Ugly Truth 7/10
Kind of got long. The guy was a perv/man ***** and not a fair representation of all men.

Orphan 7/10
Creepy Kids are the worst

Rented Terminator Salvation last night. It was OK, nothing great but not a total waste of time.

I thought Clint Eastwood could have done a better job of helping the audience understand some of the nuances of the game of Rugby.

Regardless, Clint Eastwood is the best director in Hollywood at the moment.

saw The Color Purple this weekend after Maikeru-sama mentioned it earlier in the thread. I had been meaning to watch it for the longest time.

7/10

very very good acting all around... like, VERY good acting... like worst Oscar snub of all-time acting

my favorite part, however, due to my sick sense of humor: When Danny Glover yells at his son to get his saddle ready and then he goes back into the house to yell at Whoopie Goldberg and not 10 seconds later storms outside to check on his saddle and kicks the door and sends it flying off its hinge... LOL

I rule, I know.

Yep, the Color Purple is a classic.

Danny Glover was awesome as "Mister" in that movie.

The German dude had a man sized pipe in the opening scene, the rest of the movie was pretty forgettable though

Sad to hear about the inglorious ******* reviews so far. I will still get it though as I love WWII movies and normally like Quentin.

Watched Inkheart the other night...pretty crappy even for a family adventure movie.

I watched the scariest movie

that was produced in 1996 (scarier than 100.00% of the "scary" movies that are out nowadays)

Haunted

pretty good although I predicted the ending about halfway through

edit: there are Kate Beckinsale boobies in a couple scenes

There should a seperate rating system for this. I know I knock a movie up a couple pegs if a well-known actress takes off some clothes :D

That's the only reason I would ever give Swordfish more than 2/10, anyway.

If you like Quentin you'll probably like it, my friend who's a big fan of his loved this movie. There's some really great characters in this movie and it has it's moments. It's not something i would go out of my way to see again though

Funny People - 6/10

This was very good to start with, and roughtly the first hour and 15 minutes or so....then the movie just goes off on a tangent and becomes a lot less humorous, and more soap operaish.

First half - 8.5/10 Second half - 4/10.

And i'm so glad a certain zone is gone because of people like you have virtually disappeared. Not much to contribute about the Cowboys, the reason for the site, but so willing to shoot your mouths off about other crap. Glad it's gone, they should have never brought it back.

Are you drunk?

Wife wanted to see Up in the Air. I believe it's only showing in Manhattan right now, (not released nationwide yet)

5 of 10. My wife hated it due to the way it ends.

I was hesitant to watch that because I was so disappointed by The DaVinci Code. How would you compare it to that?
