9/10?

Even with the 25 year old playing a 16 year old that acted 10 years old?

She killed the whole movie for me.

I loved the movie but man alive did she irk the crap out of me. It's sad to say but I almost did not feel sorry for her, like it was instant karma for the way her and her mother acted in the movie.

But other than that, really good movie.

Four Christmases -- 3/10

My wife liked it, but I didn't.

The Blindside.

I didn't even want to see it, but my sister talked me into it.

Very good movie. Has its flaws, but overall, I thought it was well done.

Completely captivated the entire audience.

8/10

"angels and demons"

8.5/10

fact-paced & interesting. i liked it.

saw The Color Purple this weekend after Maikeru-sama mentioned it earlier in the thread. I had been meaning to watch it for the longest time.

7/10

very very good acting all around... like, VERY good acting... like worst Oscar snub of all-time acting

my favorite part, however, due to my sick sense of humor: When Danny Glover yells at his son to get his saddle ready and then he goes back into the house to yell at Whoopie Goldberg and not 10 seconds later storms outside to check on his saddle and kicks the door and sends it flying off its hinge... LOL

I rule, I know.

I saw that in the theatre when I was 8 yrs old...one of those movies your parents drag you to. Really good movie....Spielberg in his prime. But a haunting movie to an 8 yr old...that part where she was going to cut Glover and it was flashing back to the scene in Africa. That always stuck with me.

UP

What an absolutely wonderful motion picture, Disney/Pixar have out done themselves this time. Unlike most children's movies this was thoughtful and even heart wrenching at Squirrel times.

Beautifully drawn and animated, funny sad, thought provoking and it had a talking dog. What more could you Squirrel ask for.

10/10 (even though, it had a cute kid in it)

Ps. I also bought season One of Sons of anarchy just to balance out the sweetness of up.

OHHHH I hate squirrels :laugh2:

Duplicity 5/10

Pretty confusing, crazy over the top spy script....then tons of stuff happens just to screw with the "bad guy"...nothing more. Actually pretty good acting all around just a crazy script.

The Good Girl-- 3/10

Jennifer Aniston can't really act. Everyone else in the movie sucked too. Kind of a decent ending though and saw some Aniston boobie, so 3/10.

I rented it and liked the start but fell asleep half way through it. I like heist/spy movies so I wanted to give it another shot... but not after that review.

The Children 1.5/10

Supposed to be a scary movie and it failed at that and oh so much more.

The Day The Earth Stood Still

What a terrible movie. I want that 1hr and 38 mins of my life back.

Yeah. It was crap. Keanu Reeves just walks around like a confused ****** the whole movie and GORT could have been awesome. But no giant robot rampages...instead he just disintegrates. Stupid. The climate change thing is also stupid, they should have stuck to the nuclear tech thing or mebbe hadron collider stuff.

I saw this last night and thought it was terrible too. The only good thing was every scene Jennifer Connelly was in.:p:

She's a cutie! :D

That's one of my all-time favorite movies. The end makes me bawl like a baby every time. :D

Funny People 8/10

A lot better than I expected it to be actually, the best part for me was the cameos by all the other comedians, especially the exchange between Ray Ramano and Eminem.

Year One.

I called the police shortly after watching it to tell them the kid that works the register at blockbuster just robbed me blind.

-875/10

Shaving Private Ryan, Very good hardcore movie. Hard to follow the lines but the actions scenes were great. :lmao2:

Dead Man Walking -- 9/10

some slow parts, but the acting is great and the ending

whoo, pretty powerful
