Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of my favorite movies. I think that movie is soooooooooo funny. Cracks me up every time I watch it. Got it DVRd and when I'm bored I turn it on. Plus, Mila is one of the hottest actresses out there. :D

I've seen it twice now. It cracks me up.

One of the funnier things about it are the hokey excerpts from Sarah Marshall's crime show:

Sarah: "What do you think?" as she pulls back the sheet in the morgue.

Billy Baldwin: "I think she won't be entering any more beauty pageants .... without a face."

Hurt Locker - wow - what an overrated pile a junk that was. . . . . 5/10.

We agree on one movie at least.

Where are you...you spongy, creme filled, delicious, little yellow bastids. :laugh2:

Best of 2009.

Saw an advance screening of She's Out of My League last night - 8.5/10. Very funny, and so much better than Hot Tub Time Machine. It's a comedy, so I'll have to see how it holds up first, but this looks like it's the first 2010 movie I'll be buying.

Tae Guk Gi - Brotherhood of War -- 20/10

Amazing, amazing movie. Just finished watching it for the 5th time in my life and it still hits me like a ton of bricks. I may be one of the few to think this, but I think it's better than Saving Private Ryan.

The Road 8/10 - Pretty close to the book, which I'd rate 15/10. The movie was alot less brutal than the book but still bleak. The visuals were spot on from the book, mainly the settings. The "bad guys" I thought could be a little more over the edge. I think they could have pushed the canibalism a bit further and some of the suspenseful scenes could have been kicked up a notch. The book had me on the edge of my seat a few times but rushed a bit in the movie. I think the book built up to the "ending" a bit better with the slower pace. If they would have slowed the movie down a bit it might have been a bit more effective. If you've read the book, I'd say see it. If not, you may find the movie boring.

Heres my 5 favorite Dark Knight scenes

1. Joker meeting the Gangsters in the kitchen- First extended look at the Joker, sets the plot of the movie well, and was bad ***

2. Joker truck chase scene- creative, but a little filler in the beginning of the chase.

3. Joker meets Batman in the interogation room- Despite the continuity errors it was fun

4. Joker blowing up the hospital- unforgettable visuals. The brightest scene in the movie, w/ the Joker never looking back. I ignore when hes in the bus w/ a clearly visable camera inside the bus :(

5. Joker and his pile of money

Didnt like Maggie Gyllenhalls death scene. Maybe im looksist, but I just didnt care for her safety. And there was no chemistry w/ her and 2face anyway

one of my favorite parts of that movie. :)

Funny People----------7.5/10

It had some funny parts but it was more a drama than a comedy IMO. I have to say this might have been Adam Sandler's best performance to date.

I agree on all of those scenes. If you take Bale out of the movie I'd like it even more.

I read that Ledger wanted that scene to be as authentic as possible, so he really let Bale throw him around and rough him up during the takes.

District 9 10/10

Great movie. It wasn't an enjoyable flick by any account, and several scenes were quite gruesome. However, it was very engaging and thoughtful. It effectively explored the dark side of human nature.

As a work of science fiction/social allegory, Avatar simply does not compare. How it could be considered on the same level as District 9 is baffling to me.

Alice in Wonderland - 5/10

beautiful movie but at the end of the day it was just very boring. I went with three other people. My brother who is 18, my sister-in-law who is 19 and ny fiancé who is 29 and we all thought the exact same thing. Pretty but uninteresting.

What bothered me the most is that it wasn't even clever or witty, Burton pretty much played it safe the entire film. Even Depp couldn't save this one.
