Rate the last movie you saw

Youth In Revolt - 7/10

I liked it, this is kind of Michael Cera's thing and he pulled it off again thanks to a nice screenplay that allowed him to be Michael Cera without his little idiosyncrasies taking over the whole movie.

Saw it this weekend as well and liked it. Some of it was a little far fetched but it was still very enjoyable.

We caught Public Enemies this weekend and I have to say that it was a pretty bad movie. Johnny Depp was much better in Donnie Brasco.

Grown Ups 6/10.

Not nearly as bad as I was led to believe (the critics hated it). It's a light-hearted, upbeat family comedy. My wife and I enjoyed it.

I'm sorry, but that was the most ******** movie I've seen in a minute. None of those people are funny anymore. I walked out.

-1/10 for waisting my money.

Not that Donnie Brasco was all that great of a movie. With both Depp and Al Pacino (in a mob movie no less) you would think it would have been better.

A very good, very underrated movie.

Apparently we disagree! :laugh2:

I saw it on HBO or something one night a few months back. It appeared to be a class B movie to me. More like an indie film in style. (not that indie films can't be good)

I just don't think it was on par with more of Depp's films.

Chief and I are both highly respected members on this forum, so our opinions should be taken as final say on this matter. :D

We posted at almost the same moment. :laugh2: I thought it was a very realistic mob movie (like I would know  ). It showed more the nuts and bolts of the underworld without the glamor, really. True story, which helped. Pacino was great as a lieutenant in the operation ... a wanna-be who just didn't quite have what it took to be THE guy.

Don't apologize. I went in there expecting the worst, so that helped. I was in the right mood for it too.

Despicable Me 9/10 - great funny movie. Didn't see it in 3d (motion sickness), but the ending was still funny. Those corn cob minions are freaking hilarious!!

Toy Story 3 7.5/10 - saw it right after Despicable Me. Was a great movie, but a bit saccharine yet a tad bit darker too (compared to previous Toy Stories). Did make me tear up in the end.

P.S. got to watch Despicable Me for free basically. CVS, Amazon, and Best Buy all sell certain DVD's and Blu-rays where you get up to a $10 ticket to see Despicable Me. You can do a search for it on google ("despicable me movie cash"). We got Coraline and 9 on Amazon and so got to watch Despicable Me for free (Student tickets were $9).

I resemble that remark.

Hot Tub Time Machine - 10/10 - I loved how they pretty much left any sentimentality out of it. Just went w/ good jokes. It might be a sellout move but I want a sequel. Just want to see these characters again

Public Enemies - 2/10 - Nice to see Depp w/o a lisp but this was so boring

With such films as?

I like Depp as an actor, but none of his movies that I've seen have been great. And I've seen quite a bit from Public Enemies, Donnie Brasco to Benny and Joon.

Blow was pretty good. Not great though.

I should probably see that one then. Although mentally ******** people make me cry.

Definitely see that one

Leo Dicaprio as a mentally challenge kid.....amazing

I didn't watch a movie today but I watched some Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law. Show had me in stitches!

Can't you read the title of the thread?!? :laugh2:

A-Team 6/10

I don't remember the original TV show being as tongue-in-cheek as this was. Being an aviation buff, it's really hard not to roll the eyes when Huey choppers are doing rolls or a C-130 is as nimble as an F-16. Fun movie, but a little too over the top.

What?!?! Donnie Brasco is awesome! Go sit in the corner and take a break from reviewing movies :laugh2:
