JJ Abrams take on Star Trek has been just not very good.
Yeah, and My least favorite Mission Impossible was the one he did. Has me nervous as heck about Episode 7

Ted 2: 6/10. I loved the first one. This one, not so much. It has a few funny lines, but dragged on for what seemed like 3 hours.

I completely disagree. I have enjoyed his Star Trek films thus far (And watched Wrath of Kahn for the first time after STID, and thought it was horrible), and MI3 is my favorite (2 is far and away the worst IMO).
Sharknado 3 Oh Hell no.
holla
GRR Martin getting attacked by two sharks while watching the 3 headed shark movie.

Visually I thought this was a really good movie. It's not grandiose and doesn't pretend to be. The film examines a what if scenario in a subdued fashion faintly like a documentary, although it is clearly a drama. It's good science fiction.
I'm not familiar with her previous work but I thought Alicia Vikander was outstanding as Ava the robotic A.I. She never overplayed her role. She presented Ava as genuine but not in a cold bland artificial way. Oscar Isaac's character was equally believable. He seemed like an average Joe who you understood deep down was a genius with whispers of a sinister personal trait. I didn't like the actor playing Caleb quite as much as I did the other two. His naïveté seemed a bit forced for such an intelligent individual thrown in the midst of an isolated yet "obvious" environment.
I thought the movie was good sci-fi in that it questioned ethics from both the human and nonhuman perspectives. The film makes you consider what the defining line is that exists between humanity and machine then blurs the line just enough to heighten your interest. It engages anticipation without dramatic soundtrack or awesome special effect displays. A smart and unpretentious movie.

"Trailer Park Boys-Don't Legalize It, Weed Rather Not"
Lots of folks have said these guys are funny... And I'm a big Canadian humor guy, luv "Red Green" and "Corner Gas".
So when the video was for sale for $4 at the video store I figured, "OK, lets have some chuckles."
I shut the thing off after 20 minutes. It was awful. I'm sure I missed some inside jokes by not seeing any of the previous shows, but I kinda figured that would happen. I thought the usual sharp Canadian comedy writing would include a lot of good yuks.
There were a lot of "efs" but they weren't funny.
1/10.
Thanks for this. I had placed current releases on hold after Ant-Man in anticipation of Fantastic Four but I may go see Pixels now. I wasn't a big fan of Pac-Man, Centipede or Donkey Kong. Those games get a "lot" of face time in the trailers. My favorite games were Galaga and Joust. Maybe the movie shows enough variety of games that those two will get shown, especially Galaga. I was a master on that game, playing for hours on a single quarter. Those were good times. The local arcade owner hated me though.Pixel - 7/10 This is another Adam Sandler film that got hammer by critics. Sandler does go for the very low hanging fruit of comedy in a lot of his comedies. In fact, I think the last few of his films the fruit had already fallen on the ground and started rotting because they were horrible. Anyway, this was a film I wanted to see when I first saw the trailer some months ago. I read the reviews saying how much the movie sucked but as a guy who played a lot of 80's video games it was a kick in pants nostalgia fun film for me. The theater was only about 25 percent full for the Sunday Matinee but there was a lot of laughter from the crowd. The action was pretty good too. I would watch it again.

Your brother sounds like the kind of opponent I only had the chance of playing once when I was young. The guy I met would string three fighers together and fight right-to-left. My favorite fighter combo was two ships and my fire pattern was left-to-right. I remember we started our match at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. The arcade owner kept the place open till we both ran out of ships just before midnight. Over twelve hours game play on $.50. That was sweet.Lol...My brother was an excellent Galaga player. I thought I was decent until I played against him. He would blow me away. Joust was my game. I LOVED that game and I one quarter would last me for hours. It was the one game I knew I could play better than just about anyone else. There were a few times I would have to give the game away because I ran out of time and would have to leave.
Not to give anything away, but Galaga kind of gets everything started. The movie is stupid in a lot of ways, but I was fun for me.
I remember a bunch of us after school would walk over to the 7-11 and play gauntlet where you could have 4 people playing at the same time. We would play for hours. I know that machine had to rake the money in.
