Wow! Did you see this?

'Fantastic Four' Got So Bad, Miles Teller and Josh Trank Nearly Beat Each Other Up

https://www.yahoo.com/movies/fantastic-four-got-so-bad-miles-teller-and-josh-126670602777.html
wow.

There have been multiple reports of Trank being a butt during filming. And if this is true:
Neither man actually ended up throwing a punch, but it doesn’t seem as if the rest of the shoot went much better; previous reports from sources from the set have sources calling Trank’s behavior towards cast and crew abusive and cold, especially toward Kate Mara, who got the role of Sue Storm over his objections.
...I've lost even more respect for him. Mara was a good choice. Looks like Trank should do all the finger pointing at a mirror.

heh, i just went with what i liked and have complete runs of them sitting bagged up in boxes in my closet. i would think a nova/firestorm crossover would be phenominal but they keep screwing up firestorm and nova went art-deco for awhile and i lost total interest.

i actually own an original firestorm i had broderick draw for me. also some original mike grell art for warlord and autographed in person starslayer and jon sable #1s. mage was also a fanstastic storyline.

I really liked those early Micronauts and there were even a few issues of ROM I liked as well. Mike Grell's Warlord was one of my all time favorites, been a big fan of his work.

Mission impossible rogue nation

8 of 10

Had 2 major problems with it...one they never showed full body shots in any scene with Cruise and the other actors so we don't see the box he is standing on...wiping out on a crotch rocket at over 100 MPH with jeans and a shirt and walking away unhurt goes waaaaaaaaay beyond suspension of disbelief.

And the fact he can hold his breath for countless minutes, while burning energy swimming from one end to another. Too funny.

Countless? He didn't really do that much swimming (maybe 10 feet). The unbelievable part for me was how careless he would be, being a trained MI6 agent and all and suddenly being completely unaware of his surroundings.

Unfinished Business - 7.0

I was bored and I don't like to miss any Vaughn movies, so I got it On-Demand. I expected lower budget and corny and wasn't disappointed.

Any other cast and it would have been a 6 but I laughed good a few times, definitively worth the 6 bucks to rent.

8.0/10.0

Caught this gem on HBO. An excellent period piece focusing on a pivotal judicial event and the family that played a key part in it. The movie surrounds Belle, the grand niece of a British naval captain, born of mixed heritage. Belle is played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, a British actress who impresses me in practically everything she appears in. The storyline centers upon how Belle and her grand uncle, a British supreme court justice played wonderfully by Tom Wilkinson, navigate through the daily societal, legal, economic and political realities of 18th century England as it relates to slavery. Sam Reid plays a young idealistic attorney, fighting a seemingly hopeless case who falls for the beautiful Belle. Belle is a delicately understated yet moving film.

I saw Fantastic Four and Draft Day. Fantastic Four was way better. Draft day was terrible. The dialouge, acting, and plot were asinine. I wonder why Costner took this role.

FF: 6/10
Draft Day: 3/10

Was not feeling well most of the weekend so I kind of just sat around, when not napping, watching movies.

Mystery, Alaska - Forgot how much I liked this movie. Nothing special about it but just a good movie.

Day of the Doctor - A Doctor Who movie

Rounders - Pay that man his money (if you have seen it you just read that while saying it in Teddy KGB's voice)

Sunday I watched most of the Zombie Nation marathon on SyFy as the new season starts this Friday.

7/10.
Love sports movies but this was basically a Rocky written for Eminem.
Jake did a great job but it is what it is.

Hope you get better man. Good movies too especially Rounders. Malkovich was a mother****er.

Digging for Fire

Jake Johnson wrote and starred in this dark comedy. I thought it was rather well done. Same Rockwell had a small part, but as usual did a great job. The acting was good and the story was interesting. Basically a story about married life with a little bit of a murder mystery.

A couple of foreign films

Troll Hunter 7.5/10
- A Norwegian movie that's shot in a semi-documentary style, no "shaky cam" thankfully. There are a couple of bear attacks and a university news crew and interviews bear hunters about the hunt. They end up hearing about secretive non-licensed bear hunter and attempt to follow him and learn his story. They learn he is a government sanctioned troll hunter, but of course, they think he's quite mad. The premise sounds odd, but they actually do a good job in making the situation feel almost real. The bureaucracy, details and history of trolls given in the movie makes it almost seem plausible. I was actually entertained, better than I expected.

Mongol 7/10
Russian director with the story of the rise of Genghis Khan. Nice cinematography and look at the Mongol way of life. It shows the determination and fortitude he must of had to rise to power in such a unforgiving culture and time. A little slow in places, but still an entertaining movie. Originally this was to be the first part of a trilogy, but the next chapter has been put on hold. I would watch the next part if it ever comes out.

One of the better Surprise movies I have seen. I kept seeing the title and thought it was some cheesy 80's stuffed puppet type stuff but was something completely different and I really liked it.
Kind of shocked they have not remade it in America.
